"Greenback Dollar"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

$70,000 was stolen last week from the Lucky Dollar Casino in Greensburg, Louisiana by a security guard who hid three money bags in a creek near Baton Rouge. The money was recovered, but police found that beavers tore one of the bags open and wove the money into their dam.
Some people say I have buck teeth
Or that I'm no dam good,
But I'm just a wild Castor Canadensis,
Tryin' to eat lots of wood, oh yeah,
Tryin' to eat lots of wood.

Chorus:
And I won't build a dam without a greenback dollar,
Build it strong, high, and wide.
For a habitat with dead presidents, my favorite place to reside, oh yeah,
My favorite place to reside.

When momma saw that human displaying her air of guilt,
She said, "Attach her money to the biggest twigs,
And build what must be built, oh yeah
And build what must be built."

Chorus

Now police are trying to undo my décor.
They think that a beaver can't appreciate
Ben Franklins on his front door, oh dam,
Ben Franklins on his front door.

Chorus, repeat first verse, and repeat chorus

The beaver is the mascot of M.I.T. because the beaver is the engineer of the animal world, whereas the M.I.T. graduate is the animal of the engineer world. This M.I.T. dropout (yours truly) is an engineer of the parody world. 5-5-5, JJ, good job.

What a beaver!

Thanks to JD and JB. Is this the first time Johnny D has used the word "beaver" without the hint of a double-entendre?
Johnny D - November 18, 2004 - Report this comment
Maybe so, but in any event you provided the double-entendre for me in your comment, JJ ....... me and the gals back at the lodge all thank you. ;-)

DKTOS but I'm trusting the previous three voters on the pacing and adds another 3 dollar bills. Hmm... if I'm doing the math right here you wrote this and submitted it long before I plugged the subject on the community board, right?
