The Lyrics

And when I read your lines,
They point one way...

To thoughts still used by the wise,
Every day...

Just talk away, Rene
Your Co-gi-to, Er-go, Sum's that stone

On which you tried to set up
Thoughts no doubt could claim...

...your thought's your fame...

From deep inside his fears
Descartes pondered "Why?"

From deep inside his pain
Descartes rose with pride

Just talk away, Rene
Your Co-gi-to, Er-go, Sum's that stone

Now as your brain beats down up-
-on your queried why's...

...philosophize...

(flute instrumental)

Just talk away, Rene
Your I-think-therefore-I-am's that stone

Now as your brain beats down up-
-on your queried why's...

...form reasons wise...

Your name's enshrined inside our
Thought-pantheon-hall

Still minds today applaud thy
Cogito's call

Just talk away, Rene
Your Co-gi-to, Er-go, Sum's that stone

On which you tried to set up
Thoughts no doubt could claim...

...your thought's your fame...

Just talk away, Rene
Your Co-gi-to, Er-go, Sum's that stone

That fanned our Western Du-al-
-istic spark to flame...

...your spark's to blame...

There was once a very smart horse. Anything that was shown it, it mastered easily, until one day, its teachers tried to teach it about rectangular coordinates and it couldn't understand them. All the horse's acquaintances and friends tried to figure out what was the matter and couldn't. Then a new guy looked at the problem and said,

"Of course he can't do it. Why, you're putting Descartes before the horse!"

Good idea, cleverly executed, JD.
