The Lyrics

Terr…….apin
Gave me the AIR- again

What can I write in here to make it clear
I love that randy, Rand-y, grand lexi-tarian… Terrapin
Heaven help us if the comments should catch his ire!
Then bon mot to jeer, those who made them
Feel the whip from the Muse of Terr….apin
Turtalitar…..ian!

What can I say to please Turtoc_rates-
That cinder-shell? Myself- low elementarian… Terrapin!
If I stumbled, thus im-Palin my whatchamacallits,
I could lie on his floor, unnoticed
Unrequited and spurned, for Sar….ian
Don’t-have-a-prayer…….ian

But in the moonlight, a lamb could dream it
Turtle: poon-lite
And a cuddle would show that her darling
Had penned her with sonnets and songs
Very soon, might shellp her along.

But though I try, it’s clear I’m no ewe dear
Naïve, believe, but got a fever malarian- Terrapin!
It's a long lost cause I can never win
Couldn’t breathe without oxygen, and barely know how to swim
And it’s never allowed for humans, amphibians
To be cherr….y-in. No Terra-pair-up-in. :(

No one is going to believe that I did *not* know that this was coming today, as FG didn't know that the reciprocal tribute was coming today. The ESPN gets spookier and spookier...

If humans and sheep can do it, or turtles and sheep, why not.... .? alas, a lass, 'twill just have to be a Vulcan mind, spirit, and parody meld... now, let's knock off with the parody stuff and start Vulcan'!

Not gonna tell ya what I voted. Even the closet couples need to keep a *few* secrets from each other ;) xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoo

What a silly gilly girl! Delightful. One of the best things I like about Amiright is being reminded of so many great songs I haven't heard in years, made even better with the personal touches and humorous twists from so many talented people.

No deep-sixing this catch. Floatin' fives all the way!

In fact, turtles cannot breathe without oxygen either... and mayhaps "closet" relationship was a flippered typo for "closest"; Nothing in the closet here -- right out in the AIR, AIR-iing your dirty linery.

FG - Putin' the spin on the terrapin. This is better than bowling for turtle soup. I think you caught the Tortoise off his guard a wee bit. Nice one. I was all over this one - high 5s.

Though this may mock the OS, it's no mock turtle.

M. Biologist: Well, you know what they say in show biz... always give the people what they want!

DJ: I'm sure there are many who would be honored! And it *is* fun to work with someone else-- pushes you a bit, you know?

Guy: It seems there are several lambs who wish to put a spin on the terrapin, which accounts for a great deal of my misery. ;)

BJ21: Back atcha! Thanks for v/c

John: You're most gracious, sir. :)

I'm sure TT will wish to respond to you personally at some point soon. Right now, he's laughing himself silly, for reasons I'm not sure I can fully explain. ;)

But I was supposed to be teaching you pacing, and you were supposed to be teaching me gracing.... so didn't touch DJ's line with my ten-inch pole.

'Sides, it just isn't the same doin' it cyber-style -- plus, I keep having to clean off the screen. ;)

... and reminded of what stunning mastery was displayed on this very-hard-to-pace OS.

Faves: "randy, Rand-y" (natch! ;) grand lexi-tarian"; the double ref to the GILF of my dreams combined with "im-Palin my whatchamacallits" (LOL); "shellp her along", and of all the many fine (and difficult to find) subs for "(Madam) librarian", "fever malarian" was off the charts. :-D ("fever" -- "off the charts" ... totally unintentional as written, but those are often the best -- caught it in Preview) ... plus, of course, the divine ovine refs.

Overall, a magnificent "score". It's unfortunate that the humid ocean air and the seasonal allergies made these ol' eyes a bit moist while trying to read. xoxoxo
