Parody Song Title:

"Dean, Dean"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Well, Dean's power is growing - he's up to overestimating 3200 people at his latest "meet up." Guess it's time for the pooch treatment.
Dean, Dean, it's Dean they say
On the left side of the street
Dean, Dean, ain't goin' away
Until Bush leaves him in defeat.

a-Well he told the voters on the day he announced
"I'm supported by the NRA"
"I got a better health plan than old Hillary had"
"And I gave equal rights to the gays"

(a-Singin') Dean, Dean, it's Dean they say
On the left side of the street
Dean, Dean, ain't goin' away
Until Bush leaves him in defeat.

Now the Dems don't like me 'cause my name ain't John
But my power's growing all the time
I'm just a tax-lovin' liberal man
I can save the country on your dime.

(Hear me lyin', it's a) Dean, Dean, it's Dean they say
On the left side of the street
Dean, Dean, ain't goin' away
Until Bush leaves him in defeat.

Yeah, my best hope is to beat up on Bush
And I sure love to criticize him.
Cause all my ideas are old liberal crap
I'm a doctor, not a President, Jim.

(Please notice me, it's) Dean, Dean, it's Dean they say
On the left side of the street
Dean, Dean, ain't goin' away
Until Bush leaves him in defeat.

(Everybody at the meet-up now !!!)
Dean, Dean, it's Dean they say
On the left side of the street
Dean, Dean, ain't goin' away
Until Bush leaves him in defeat.

Until Bush leaves him in defeat.

Until Bush leaves him in defeat.

Very good, Pooch, but there's no way in hell Bush will beat Dean. Dean won't get that far. He won't even see the far side of New Hampshire, unless you mean he's going back to Vermont with his head down and his tail between his legs. I mean, really, can you see him competing with Kerry, Graham and Edwards in, say, South Carolina? Or with Kerry and Gephardt in Michigan? Nice guy, interesting ideas, but he doesn't have a chance. But you still get straight fives...not that there's anything wrong with that.

Outstanding, Pooch! I don't know why Michael Pacholek dismisses Howard Dean's chances - he has a strong constituency. He will get the vote of every pro-choice, gay, NRA member who lives in Vermont. Who's Jim?

Well, "Jim" referred to James T. Kirk. It was a send up of Dr. McCoy's famous recurring line "I'm a doctor, not a magician, Jim!" (Dean is a doctor.) As for Dean's chances, I tend to agree with Michael, except that Dean may be able to build up enough momentum to cast off the shackles of the democratic machine. I'll tell you I think John Kerry is having nightmares right now. Since integrity is a real issue in the democratic party, Dean may win over a lot of votes that would normally reject his leftist approach. As for underdog status, I remember when nobody gave Bill Clinton much of a chance. But I think that even if Dean survives the primary season, Bush's conservatism is more appealing in this environment than Dean's liberalism. Nice to see you all! Thanks for the comments.
