The Lyrics

At first, I was temped to put this under a false name, butt flushed that idea. This song is so good no parody will top it, butt this will bottom it. Q: What do you get when you take one of the most beatifully sung songs of all time and take a dump on it? A: This! PS- This will be the last poo parody from me probably, as I can't think of a more elegant song to pinch one off on.
Ohhh, poor turds, pool kiddies
I ate you for my lunch
My throne, toilet time
And time goes by, but surely
This time I had a hunch
Is this stool mine?
I need to rush
I need to flush
Now no more crap from me

Stinky feces gone
none to see, none to see
Out my open hole what a scene
Hear the feces cry
Don't flush please, dont flush please
We'll be going down, Red Ant please

Ohhh, my hands, my bathroom
I'm washing, washing!, with my Dove
It's soap, cleanup time
And time goes by, but surely
This time I'll crap so much
Is that a crime?
I-I-I NEED some gloves
I, I have some Dove
Now no more crap from me

Beautifully paced, but, again, for me anyway, the subject matter lets it down. And before anyone decides to make smart arse comments like "Well, if you knew it was about poo why did you read it?", i read it because i'm quite a fan of Red Ant and i think he writes some top class stuff, and i was just checking this one out. 534

No problem DAK, I'm just glad you are one of the few who don't bag the pacing because they don't like the parody. The humor in this is not the parody really, it's imagining The Righteous Brothers singing this instead of TOS ( which I thought was hilarious ). Red Ant has now commited an act of parody treason on this, NO MORE POO parodies from me, though "gross" stuff is still fair game.

By the way, Red Ant. Do you know at what time of the day this website is submitted. I know that over here in the UK it varies a lot. One day it was 2pm (or 10am in US), and then the next day it was 4pm (midday), and on Saturday it wasn't updated at all! I'm just curious as i'm sick of having 2 and three hour waits to see my parodies

Sorry, typo alert!!! What I meant to ask was Do you know what time of the day this website is updated?

I Live in EST ( GMT-5:00 ). Usually get posted here around 11:30 AM, though posting near a weekend can be tricky, as its seems that Saturday and sometimes Sunday as well the site isn't updated, so if you post something, make sure its in before early Thursday morning, as some people do not come here on weekends because they know there will be no new parodies ( basically avoid posting on Friday and Saturday ), because by Monday alot of parodies will be out, and some will not look at what got posted on Sunday. PS- You may not want to do it, but your writing has alot of potential, but few KTOS you are parodieing, so try some classics ( American classics do best, there are about 1042 Beatles parodies alone, and yes they were not American, but made it big here ), even if you don't really like the song your doing. PSS again LOL--I stick to fairly obscure groups as I don't want to be the 30th person parodieing one song, although the classics I hae done have gotten ALOT more votes for the most part.

Thanks very much. So 11:30 is about 4 o clock here. Good. I know what you mean about chosing the songs to parody. Unfortunately, i'm the complete opposite of you on the musical scale. Whilst you focus more on the classic stuff and your collecton stopped at 1997, I have no idea when it comes to classics and beatles songs (i do know a few, though), and i started concentrating on music FROM 1997/98/99 onwards! LOL! I tend to focus more on the music which has charted highly over here in Britain, because it tends to be the music for me personally that is easiest to parody. Unfortunately, this means that because their are more Americans than Brits on this site that it puts me at a disadvantage, but I have tried to parody a couple of American songs (such as 'Birdhouse In Your Soul' by They Might Be Giants which I know did pretty well in America in the early 90s. I suppose it's all a question of just doing what you do best. Thanks, anyway!.. (and i apologize for the life-story of a reply!)

Umm, The Might Be Giants didn't do well here, as early 90's were dominated by grunge and gangster rap ( and a few others ). It might have hit the top 40 and got played on pop stations, but I have never even heard of that group or song.
