Parody Song Title:

"Butt Right In"

Parody Written by:

Guy DiRito

The Lyrics

Butt right in, cat fight sounds,
Ladies, all a-whine 'til dawn.
Butt right in, cat fight sounds,
Ladies, all a-whine 'til dawn.
All this toxic shockin' and the ways all you mockin',
You all soundin' so refined
Butt right in, cat fight sounds,
Ladies, all a-whine 'til dawn.

Shock and all, with your brawl,
Ladies, someone stole my song.
Shock and all, with your brawl,
Ladies, someone stole my song.
Comments should be blockin', heard of somebody talkin',
We think you all done lost your mind.
Shock and all, with your brawl,
Ladies, someone stole my song.

[Inter-rude]

Butt right in, cat fight sounds,
Ladies, all a-whine 'til dawn.
Butt right in, cat fight sounds,
Ladies, all a-whine 'til dawn.
All this toxic shockin' and the ways all you mockin',
You all soundin' so refined
Butt right in, cat fight sounds,
Ladies, all a-whine 'til dawn.

And this parody's a sly editorial on current events, too! Well done, Guy!

Good advice, Guy. Good parody work, too...5's...

Good comments, Guy, on the current state at this site. Wonder why AKA and Arwen haven't commented? Royce?

"Comments should be blockin" - NO, Guy!.... I love the cat-fights - keep 'em coming, I say - very entertaining and witty they've been - pass the popcorn

Adagio - I'm just catching up on this. Extremely busy at work today and getting home late. Wow what did they do on your comments? Maybe there is something to "Cat Fights". This looks like a girl thing to me. I just did what I saw in another comment in another parody where it said that mature leveled people or something to that effect should express their ideas in parody. I have usually done this in the past. It's just parody and that is what it is all about. I just write 'em like I see 'em. The rhetoric just screamed out to be parodied. I would think that parody writers could understand and appreciate the art. Guess not. Now I am done discussing this and will move on to other things. Thanks to any and all who read this and just appreciate parody for what it is - just parody.

That's what I did, too...expressed my ideas in parody writing about the situation..nothing else....shame, huh?

I agree with you Guy and Adagio - in fact I suggested to Royce yesterday on the "war"-thread that instead of sponateously reacting she could use her cleverness to score moe satisfying intellectual points against those she thinks wronged her, by devising a reply parody - ie. touche!....(which she ultimately did, and wittily too)........BUT, I don't want people to stop reacting, and to stop expressing those reactions in these comment threads - because there's truth in emotion too, and it is freedom of expression, and it can be very amusing as long as it's not personally abusive (it's like an open forum debate, which isn't scripted) - in other words, both forms of expression have their place, I think, and the wisdom (and the test of the person) lies in choosing which is the better option for which circumstances - viva la difference!

Adagio...

Normally I wouldn't have commented on either one...because I don't know the original that well...but I read them both...and decided to comment on the other one because I thought it was more mean spirited...and more of an attack...

I feel comfortable speaking for Ash (who has gone on vacation and cannot speak for herself) when I say that neither of us have a problem with you (or anyone) posting any song that you'd like to post. I'm glad you both wrote your parodies. I LOVE to read other people's views...even on my own behavior. But you have to know that I'm going to defend myself...every time...especially when the other person won't back up their claims.

I won't deny that we were fighting. Good catch! But I've still yet to have anyone provide me with a quote of my own that merits me being called childish or referred to as a baby...(waah.) I know that I can't be considered to be the most impartial judge...but I think any outside person would agree that both Ash and I were being WAY more level headed than Royce was. I never called anyone a name. I never yelled at anyone. And I never threatened to leave because people disagreed with me.

But again...EVERYONE--state your opinions...I learn so much from them. Express your views...that's awesome. I'll never ask you to stop...nor will I ever write a parody that tries to vilify you for stating that opinion. Heaven knows it would be a boring world if we all saw things exactly the same way.

Thanks...

Mean spirited attack? No way and it wasn't even leveled at any one person. Nothing else to say, except like Guy's, mine was ....just...a...parody.

Perception is reality, Adagio.
