Parody Song Title:

"Hey There's Georgie's Girls"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Bush's daughters speak at the GOP national convention. A bit unconventional I would say.
Hey there's Georgie's girls,
Lookin' oh so sweet on live TV.
We all heard them speak, they never spoke of homelessness there - worldwide news.
Hey there's Georgie's girls,
Why don't my remote just pass them by?
Could it be that every eye is into the clothes you wear?

They loved your teeny bopping and culture popping, oh my,
They read like booty weather girls, yiii! so full of whit.

Hey there's Georgie's girls,
See the mom of Georgie filled with pride,
Will they help to turn the tide or was this just strange TV?
The world did see the two Georgie girls.

----- instrumental interlude -----

Hey there's Georgie's girls,
Isn't there somewhere that they should be?
Live on network news TV, what is it they have to say?
I'm up for channel changing as they're engaging themselves,
I've tuned to hear the issues myself, not little twits.

Hey there's Georgie's girls,
See the mom of Georgie filled with pride,
Will they help to turn the tide or was this just strange TV?
The world did see the two Georgie girls.

Hey there's Georgie's girls
Take off, Georgie's girls.
Hey there's Georgie's girls
Take off, Georgie's girls.

Why was I reminded of Billy Carter?

Guy, the rhyming to the original is so totally cool, this is great! I saw the Bush gals last night on TV, too. I especially liked how the gals said that their parents' favorite term of endearment is "Bushie" .... "Ja, und now, Herr President, tell Doctor Freud how you feel ven you call your Vife 'Bushie', ja?"
Adagio - September 01, 2004 - Report this comment
How funny, Guy! It was a bit un"conventional" for them to be there! You made it extra funny. 5's

Guy, other than you, the Bush twins are my favorite republicans. Hey, the song was better than their delivery and their writers. Great tactic by the GOP, I left the protests early just to see the twins. (By the way, I do condemn any violence that you're seeing.) Later, bob

555. I saw the whole thing on CSPAN. They made me think of Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton. It didn't take you long to think up a good parody. By the way, why pick on Amy Carter?

Until I see Bush rip the head off of a T-1000 ,Ah-nold will be my favorite Republican...555

Guy, Fun piece here. Hey, at least they were sober, right? (I'm guessing, I didn't see it, watching a gigantic room full of people talk about what a wonderful President Dubyah is absolutely a "Red button" event for me, personally.) 5's.
Shiek of the Mutilated - September 01, 2004 - Report this comment
As least Dubya's letting them talk for a change. I was afraid he had locked them up in a secret dungeon in the Oval Office.

I'm sitting here weirded out that so many people watched the Busch girls speaking at a convention. I mean, the Bush girls. I'm with Paul Robinson on this.

The subject matter is a perfect fit with the OS. Loved the "so full of whit" line. Sounds like the Bush girls are doing a great job for the Democrats!

Guy, you might want to keep this parody in mind when it comes time to select your entry for the September Song Of The Month Contest.....it's sure to be a contender....maybe even an October Surprise!

Guy: I know it must have been hard, but you managed to make them look less ridiculous. Rick: Because Billy drank almost as much as Jenna and Barbara. Johnny: In the immortal words of Billy Crystal, "You've got like a half-track mind." Tim: Let's just hope that Amy Carter holds her title as the only Presidential child ever consulted by her father -- and you can bet George I never consulted the then-much-older George II on anything more serious than the proper ad attack. 2Eagle: At least now we know Jessica's not, like, the dumbest blonde chick from Texas: "Dad, like, why isn't Tom Ridge on the ranch? I mean, like, isn't that our home's land? Why isn't he protecting our home's land's security?" Thought Police: The only thing Georgie Bush ever ripped the head off of was a bottle of beer. Paul: Never assume!

Nice one, Guy. Seeing as you know so much about these little Bushes, could you tell me: are they really as arrogant and superior as they always look in the photos that get printed in the UK press?
Rick D - October 08, 2004 - Report this comment
I'm surprised he didn't name one of his daughters "Anheuser".

(SOTM) Woe is me, missing out on all these humorous US references! The only Bushes I saw on TV last night were on Bourke's Backyard. A great take on TKOS.

jake - I saw those bushes on Burke's Backyard too - I've never seen such dumb narrow-minded inarticulate plants....love the parody Guy - why hasn't anyone thought of that before? - very funny

(SOTM): I'm with Jake here even though I'd like to think of myself as someone fairly up to date on the presidental race. Dubya's kids are a bit to much of a niche subject for SOTM for me.
Melhi - October 15, 2004 - Report this comment
SOTM -- Well done, Guy! I have a theory that the families got trotted out, this time, because the negative propoganda has been so bad that both sides felt it necessary to prove their candidate didn't eat his young. ;D

I totally don't follow politics, but the lyric matches were dead-on clever as usual. Well done.
