Song Parodies -> "I'll Still Be Ugly Tomorrow"

Original Song Title:

"Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?"

Original Performer:

The Shirelles

Parody Song Title:

"I'll Still Be Ugly Tomorrow"

Parody Written by:

Kristof Robertson

The Lyrics

A Beauty and the Beast scenario......
You say you're mine completely
Why do we shag discretely?
Tonight you're drunk, and I'm a handsome guy
But I'll be ugly tomorrow

Maybe I look like Lemmy
Or even Steve Buscemi
Why do you care if my ears are outsized?
I'll still be ugly tomorrow

My nose is badly broken
I've got more chins than ol' Shanghai
Although your fire I'm stokin'
In the morn it's a swift goodbye!

You think I'm smart and charming
But my face is.....alarming
You say, "It's been a laugh from start to end,
But please don't call me tomorrow"

(INSTRUMENTAL)

So what if we don't look like Brad and Jen...
I'd like to see you tomorrow
You're turning away in sorrow
Coz I'll be ugly tomorrow....
For those of you unfamiliar with Lemmy, he's the lead singer of Motorhead, and a truly "interesting" looking guy...

Reminds me of that old W.C.Fields comedy bit! Good job, KR, 5's.

Or even Steve Buscemi!!!

Classic! 555 points for that line alone! =)

Arwen totally stole my thunder. I was going to say that even if this parody was awful, (which it most certainly is NOT) I would still give you 5's for including Mr. Buscemi. I love that guy. Wonderful job, K!

thanks Johnny, John, Arwen and Ash...it's not often you get the opportunity to include Mr Pink in a parody..glad you liked it

This reminds me of the Winston Churchill quote I've seen around (paraphrasing slightly 'cause my memory is a little hazy)

Lady:"Sir, you're drunk"
Sir Winston:"I may be drunk, but madam, you are ugly. The difference is, I shall be sober in the morning"

Great song :-)

I have no idea who Steve Buscemi is, and I was thinking Lemmy as in Lemmy (sic) and Squiggy, but it still worked... ;-)

Ah, the old Schooner Scale...

Pretty funny, but I still like my parody better, "Will I Have Money Tomorrow?"!

Nope...sorry, David. Kristof's is better.

This is the good, the bad and the fugly - just without the good and the bad. Bo Derek was a ten, I'll give this one a five.

Merry and anyone else who does not know who Steve Buscemi is, go to this link. I am sure you will recognise this actor immediately.

Kristof: You'll still be ugly, and she can diet. Your only hopes would appear to be to "Extreme Makeover" or holding a bottle of Red Stripe. "It's beer! Hooray, beer!" (Truth in advertising: I've never really tried the stuff, nor am I about to.) Adam: There's a similar story involving him: Lady Astor says, "Sir, if you were my husband, I would poison your coffee," and Churchill says, "Madam, if you were my wife, I would drink it." Merry: Steve Buscemi usually plays scumbags, including doomed cousin Tony Blundetto on "The Sopranos" and "Mr. Pink" in "Reservoir Dogs"... the guy who inspired singer Alecia Moore, who loves that movie, to take a stage name.

I am currently watching an A&E network encore presentation of Fargo with Steve Buscemi. Interesting to note that the Buscemi character was described to police several times in this movie as a suspect and each time he was said to be just generally ugly with no other distinguishing features.

Lemmy/Buscemi slayed me Kristof - just randomly picking thru your stuff - and I love Steve Buscemi (in a professional shake-hands-only kinda way) - 555

Missed this first time around... very funny, Kristof: reminds me of the interchange between Bessie Braddock (one of the first Labour MPs) and Winston Churchill:
BB: Sir, you're drunk
WC: And you madam, are ugly. But I shall be sober in the morning.
