The Lyrics

A sung by Faramir in an effort to win the heart of Eowyn
I never saw a girl who swung a sword
The way that you do (You're alright)
You took out the henchman of that Dark Lord,
Now thanks to you-hoo (He's outta sight)

So, fee-fi-fo-fum
Look out baby, 'cause here I come

Now we're free to do what we want to
So get ready, so get ready
I think I'd like to fall in love with you
So get ready, so get ready 'cause here I come

(Get ready 'cause here I come)
I'm on my way
(Get ready 'cause here I come)

Now you're over the King but still want love,
Let me remind you (It's alright)
That the lovin' you missed in the time
It took for me to find you (It's outta sight)

So, fiddley-dee, fiddley-dum
Look out baby, 'cause here I come

Now we're free to do what we want to
So get ready, so get ready
I think I'd like to fall in love with you
So get ready, so get ready 'cause here I come

(Get ready 'cause here I come)
I'm on my way
(Get ready 'cause here I come)
(Get ready)

[Instrumental]

My dad and brother both went mad,
For want of power (That's not right)
I hope that doesn't mean you won't let me
Into your bower (Be outta sight)

So tiddley-dee, tiddley-dum
Look out baby, 'cause here I come

Now we're free to do what we want to
So get ready, so get ready
I think I'd like to fall in love with you
So get ready, so get ready 'cause here I come

(Get ready 'cause here I come)
I'm on my way
(Get ready 'cause here I come)
Be there to stay
(Get ready 'cause here I come-a)
(Get ready)

Arwen, Little by little I'm getting more interested in LotR...because of your songs. I'll have to at least rent the movies. I will have to print out your songs and keep them with me...to check out everything. I've been tempted...since I believe Sir Ian is Gandolf...or, as they say in Bored of the Rings..Good Gulf. Nice job Arwen!

Jude...you should read my parody of "The Longest Time" by Billy Joel. It chronicles my journey to the LOTR geekdom that I live in now. See, when the first movie came out, I had NO desire to see it. I made fun of those who did. I was so mean. Then, I watched it...and well, you can see what's happened to me. I highly recommend you checking the films out! Thanks for the votes, too!!!

Arwen, Good work, nice song structure, rhyme & flow. I know the original very well and this one isn't too LOTR specific so I can make a legit vote on it. 5-5-5.

Another good read...can't really vote' cause I don't know the music. But. I would be tempeted to give you all 5's just on the flow of the song. Jude...by all means...rent or see the movies...start with LOTR #1, etc. it's so good, I've got it on my website under videos.

I don't really know what that means. But...I really hope that works out for you.

Nice job. Too bad I don't know what a bower means, although I have an idea...
Arwen - January 12, 2004 - Report this comment
I'm sure your ideas are pretty close...at least in spirit...hehehe. the exact definition is something like a "woman's private chamber" in a castle. Thanks so much for the vote, though!! =)

He's certainly an understated hero...and a good match for Eowyn!
