The Lyrics

Now that the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. "ObamaCare") is starting to be implemented, lots of people are finding out that their health insurance policies are being dropped, because those plans don't fit the new rules. New plans offered in their place generally are more expensive and have higher deductibles. If you have a horror story, you can tell it at this website.
Premiums did not go d-d-down (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
Why did I believe th-th-those clowns? (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
Things looks worse than we were t-t-told (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
I might be broke before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)

I got my cancellation
I got my cancellation, baby

It doesn't help m-my duress (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
Government website's one big m-m-mess (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
It's just givin' to me one big f-f-frustration (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
That resulted from my c-c-cancellation (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)

My cancellation
I got my cancellation, Barry

[Please welcome guest musician Mike Huckabee (R-Ark), for the bass solo!]

[Key change]

There goes my old p-policy (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
And costlier th-the new one will b-b-be (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
And I'm not trying to light a c-c-conflagration (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
But I'm angry 'bout my c-c-cancellation (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)

I got my cancellation
I got my cancellation, baby
My my my cancellation

[Another key change]

Premiums did not go d-d-down (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
Why did I believe th-th-those clowns? (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
Things looks worse than we were t-t-told (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
I might be broke before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)

I got my cancellation (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
My cancellation (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
I got my cancellation, baby (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
I got my cancellation (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
I got my cancellation (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
I got my cancellation (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
I got my cancellation (Talkin' 'bout my cancellation)
Disclaimer: I don't know if Mike Huckabee could really play a John Entwistle bass solo, but I had to throw a politician in there.

President Obama - November 05, 2013 - Report this comment
The cancellation of your private insurance was an act of caprice used by the insurance companies well before ACA. This time the excuse was that you were underinsured under the new standards of Obamacare. Read the fine print of your letter. You don't have to upgrade your insurance per the suggestion by your current carrier which wants you to stay with them. Go to the exchange and get low premium (maybe a subsidy) and enhanced benefits. The competitive marketplace drives down premiums. Capitalism 101. My staff has debunked the "horror stories," but you only read what supports your mythology. You've been in the right wing echo chamber too long. No score.

The PPACA is enough to make anyone stutter, so the choice of TOS is appropriate. Good work!
@President Obama: Bills have been introduced in the House and Senate to allow or require insurers to renew non-conforming policies in 2014. That would absolve you from being a liar, and Congress could say it couldn't wait for an executive order and had to act unilaterally. ;^)
