The Lyrics

Another one for the troops, many of whom really hate this war.
We get ambushed in the streets
Sadr City and Tikrit
While we're hoping in November Bush is gone--
Riding armored APV's
Watching out for IED's
Still alive, only coffins bring us home--

I just can't wait for November elections
Found no nukes, no Al-Qaeda connections
Went to war for no Dubya-M-D
Stuck here in a quagmire, damn!
Just like Vietnam!
My commander in chief's a sham--
Don't vote for Bush again!

We had to face Saddam
We knew it all along
He had bombed and gassed the Kurdish folk, that's wrong!
Bush's strategy's the same
Positions haven't changed
And he can't admit he's blown this Iraq war!

I just can't wait for November elections
Found no nukes, no Al-Qaeda connections
Went to war for no Dubya-M-D
Stuck here thanks to Bush's lies
Countless thousands died
Army buddies, take my advice--
Don't vote for Bush again!
No, no!

MoveOn.org got me movin' online
Told my buddies to email all their wives
The truth is explodin' like fire in the skies
W. knows that the "Internets" mesmerize!

When Bush says stay the course
It's like he's beating a dead horse
Sounds a lot like LBJ in '69!
Now insurgents on my left
And Baathist thugs are on my right
And resistance has grown stronger--oh, Shiite!

I'll tip my hat to Iraq's constitution
Get home soon to avoid retribution
Damn Osama's still on TV news!
Why'd so many have to die
Thanks to Bush's lies?
Guaran-#@!%in'-tee you that I
Won't vote for Bush again!
Vote for Bush again?
No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new Bush
Worse than the old Bush!

From your lips to every undecided voter's ears, Bob.

I've been trying to write just such a song for four years, Bob. (Even before I found Amiright.) You did for all of us! Five Electoral Votes for you! (Take 'em from Texas -- the State is red from embarrassment.) This is it, people! This time, vote like your whole world depended on it! Because it just might! John Kerry for President: Because America just can't take four more years of this nonsense!

Oh, Shiite - good pun!

Johnny D: thanks, although I don't imagine this song or any other will sway anybody. All I can ask is that people vote conscientiously, weighing whether the candidates' rhetoric and actions are a match. I'm voting for the one candidate who has the credentials to be a uniter, not a divider.
Michael: Thank you, and maybe you can write "Kerry Won New Jersey" to the tune of "Ferry 'Cross The Mersey"?
2Eagle: yeah, that's my favorite, too.......d:;^)

By now I'm probably not the only one who's tired of candidate-bashing songs, but you've paced and rhymed this one well--and made a darn good case against the war along the way. 5's all round!

You know the old saying: Fooled America once, shame on Bush. Fooled America twice...

Shame on evangelical Christians, right-wing Cuban-Americans, and millionaire corporate executives?

Nice job, Bob...but...not enough people listening or reading, were there? A real damned shame, yes...5's for a heart-spent effort
