Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"I Wanna Pair Me Some E/O"

Parody Written by:

I Spoof, Therefore Amiright

The Lyrics

An Ode to Law and Order SVU fanfiction. E/O stands for Elliot/Olivia and J/C for John/ Casey. I know that the writers aren't exclusively male, it was just easier to write it that way in the parody, and I know they're not really evil. Enjoy!
I wanna pair me some E/O.
Write me up some angsty E/O.
That’s the only li’l ole ship for li’l ole me.
Others pairs will be forgotten,
all wrapped up in fluff and cotton,
and Dick Wolf he refuses to see
season nine should be the time.

I wanna go back to my PC,
where they also cook up J/C
and sweet romance is fuelled by crime and wine.
I really am a-needin’
to go home and start a-readin’
and concedin’ that they’ll be just fine.

Ugh, Kathy!! Then there’s Dani, plus Dean Porter,
and, also, Richard.
And if they give in to all the tension
they’ll lose the pension
so Cragen’s praying brass won’t pay attention
'cause “what the hell, it’s love!”
Yes, all the pain can get me really mad,
'less they give a good quote 'cause they feel really bad.

I wanna pair me some E/O.
What’s a world without no E/O?
I’ll watch fanvids till they’re coming outta my ears.
I wanna stalk those scripting gentlemen
and whine to other fans again:
“they ain’t even hugged once in eight years!”
In the of world of S.V. all
writers are plain evil!
The suspense is bugging us from here out to Rome.
I want Elliot to start crying,
Like in “Fault” when he thinks Liv’s dying.
Be Dick ever so cruel to us,
they’re paired in his dome!

I own nothing. SVU etc. belongs to Dick Wolf and "I Wanna Go Back to Dixie" to Tom Lehrer.

Sorry. Your joke miles better than my underlying concept. In order to explain it I'll have to assume you nothing about the show, so sorry in advance if I accidentally insult your intellignce. Basically, almost all of the hardcore fans of Law and Order: SVU, like myself as you will have guessed, want to see Elliot and Olivia, the two leads, hook up. This is called "E/O Shipping" in fanfiction terms. For more information on that try Wikipedia. Dick Wolf is the creator and head hauncho of the "Law and Order", and the one we E/O shippers direct our frustrations at. The song talks about a lot of characters and conflicts we believe are, literally, "obstructing romantic and televisual justice" We all live in hope that a romantic relationship will develop one day, until then, we'll just the sexual tension annoy the hell out of us. I'll stop myself now since I'm rambling on thanks so much for the 5s. ISTA

A shame when the explanation takes longer to read that the parody ;-) But technically excellent to a tricky song (I should know, I've done it twice).

Yep, waaay too insular to be enjoyed by outsiders.

Thanks folks. I know I should broaden my range, but I'm convinced there is someone who is an SVU/Tom Lehrer freak like me. There will always be stuff here that others won't get. For example, I don't know a thing about LOTR - except that carrots break if you crash down on them. I do have a question, though. How the hell does the enter button work on this thing? I keep on hitting it and nothing happens. Everything comes out in one massive chunk. Help. ISTA

To get paragraph breaks, use the HTML code, i.e. (BR) using angle brackets (shift+, and shift+.) instead of normal parentheses (unlike HTML, though, it's case-sensitive - probably 'cause of the script that strips HTML codes except a few like B & BR)

Right. Thanks, Phil. It might take a bit of practice since I haven't used code before.(BR)Grazie,(BR)ISTA.
