The Lyrics

My wife's idea
Here he comes now and his name is Monet
Paintin' outside and it don't look phone-ay
Hey, he paints shadows and renders light now
He got the common themes he got the colors bright
He don't paint at night he said neh (neh)
neh (neh).....

And you know he
paints (Monet Monet)
the (Monet Monet)
light (Monet Monet)
Yeah he paints the light and the
Trees (Monet Monet)
Poppies (Monet Monet)
Lilies (Monet Monet)
And the water scenes I say yeah (yeah)
yeah (yeah).....

Paint me faintly Monet Monet
Quick black smudge look just like my clone-ay
First Impression was that he ain't right now
Well he kept right on and he won the fight
Then he lost his sight he say waah (waah)
waah (waah)....

Yeah he could not
see(Monet Monet)
so (Monet Monet)
good (Monet Monet)
Couldn't see so good
He had cat-(Monet Monet)
-a-(Monet Monet)
-racts (Monet Monet)
But his sight came back he said yeah (yeah)
yeah (yeah).....

I'm glad you listened to your wife, Claude. Even though I really enjoy the work of Claude Monet, I still enjoyed this "tribute," especially the "first impression" line.

It's always dangerous when people pitch you their parody ideas. Especially when those people happen to be married to you. In this case, however, everything worked out quite nicely. Great work, Claude 4 Prez. And great idea, Claudette 4 Prez.

Yeah, I know what you mean Spaff; her ideas usually suck. (Why, no, she doesn't ever come here, why do you ask?) Anyway, thanks all.

Anybody ever notice that every doctor and dentist's office in the world had Monet on the waiting room walls? But I like your parody a whole lot better than I like the artist... :-)
