The Lyrics

NOTE: For content understanding, the issue of race in America is brought up in these top comments, but only in context of its relation to the U.S. national debt. Thinking about the $125,000,000,000,000 national debt (see Truthinaccounting.org) and Covid-19 spending. Then I got all bothered by the racial tension and how it could be mitigated. One proposed solution: reparations. Currently, people without color, are held responsible for the benefits of slave ownership by people without color between 1600 and 1865. I understand that argument. But, if reparations are paid, the federal government will borrow money to do so. That means that people, with and without color, who will exist only in the future will pay for the benefits gained by past and present people without color due to slavery that occurred between 1600 and 1865. So I rewrote a song about this.
When I woke up this morning
They were on my mind
And they were on my mind
Unborn children, whoa-oh
They got troubles, whoa-oh
They got debts to pay

So, I went to the Treasury
To issue more debt
Yeah, just to ease my pain
And it helped me, whoa-oh
Yes, it helped me, whoa-oh
I can spend again

When I woke up this morning
They were on my mi-i-i-ind and
They were on my mind
Unborn children, whoa-oh
They got troubles, whoa-oh
They got debts to pay

And I got a feelin'
Down in my gu-uu-uu-ut, said
Way down in my gu-uu-ut
Yeah, we must stop debt, whoa-oh
‘Cause when we pass, whoa-oh
They will spit upon our gra-aves

When I woke up this morning
They were on my mind
And they were on my mind
Unborn children, whoa-oh
They got troubles, whoa-oh
They got debts to pay
