The Lyrics

[Elmer Fudd]
Where's dat bunny... dat Bugs Bunny?
Sure, dat bunny is funny and bwight...
But how funny will he be in wabbit stew tonight?
(ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, ha-ha-ha, ha-ha!)
Where's dat wabbit... oh dat wabbit?
When I gwab it, that wabbit is mine!
Oh dat bunny stew will taste so very, very fine!
(ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, ha-ha-ha, ha-ha, ha-ha!)

I will get wevenge on that wabbit soon (I'll get wevenge...)
And he'll wace awound wunning scared... (Yes, he'll wun scared...)
When he wuns away, I will gun away
And my weputation will be wepaired!
(It will be wepaired, it will be wepaired, it will be wepaired...)

Then Woad Wunner, dat slick stunner...
When dat one meets my gun, then oh ho!
I will be... weally, weally wunning the show!

[TV Viewers:]
Have you met our good friend Bugs Bunny -- the coolest cartoon on the block?
He's clever and awfully funny; and he'll charm you with one simple "Eh, what's up, Doc?"

When Elmer pursues with shotgun in tow (ha, ha, ha),
Bugs sits back amused and watches the show;
It's always the same: the quarry's unscratched (ha, ha, ha);
The poor hunter's shame: again, he's outmatched!

Why not give it up, Elmer Fuddy?
You can't catch your old rabbit buddy...
The premise is bare, but what's not to love?
This hunter and hare - they fit like a glove!

[Bugs Bunny:]
Elmer Fudd, he is my buddy
But my buddy, E. Fudd, he is dense
He's a study in persistence if not common sense;
(ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, ha-ha-ha, ha-ha!)
Though he's gunning, I'm not running...
'Cuz his gunning is stunningly weak;
I'll be sunning while he works on firearms technique...
(ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, ha-ha-ha, ha-ha, ha-ha!)

Why don't you give up, you old pal of mine? (Oh, pal of mine...)
Why not go and hunt for a duck? (Duck season, ooh...)
Give up on this hare, Daffy's over there...
Put your efforts where you'd have better luck!
(You'll have better luck, you'll have better luck, you'll have better luck...)

He won't heed me, cause he needs me...
Yes indeed, I'm his 'reason to be':
Be demeaned every week on Cartoon TV!

Wow, two of these on the same day? I'm vewwy impwessed. I'm now looking forward to the one where the WB characters square off against the POTC characters in kind of a Jets vs Sharks rumble.

Wow. Vewy, vewy enjoyable. All gweat, but the section that Elmer does himself is just a little bit tighter than the rest of the song. 5's for an excewwent pawody.

I can see you love West Side Story as much as Warner Bros cartoons!

Decided to leave a few comments on your songs. This one was just fantastic. Clever wordplay, especially the first line about "wabbit stew tonight" - and then the trademark (hahahaha) - definitely characteristic of that Fudd. I was very impressed with this one! 5-5-5

I also missed this one the first time around, but I'm looking at it now and cracking up! I'm not sure I know the original, but I read it anyway and voted 5-5-5 because I love watching Looney Tunes (even though I'm 29).

Awesome!

Doing a parody from a musical with characters from Looney tunes reminds me of the famous cartoon where Warner used "Ride of the Valkyrie" (I think that was the instrumental) and had Bugs and Elmer placed in it. Your song would make a nice companion piece to that classic. It truly is a shame that Chuck Jones isn't around to see this, I believe he'd give you a bit of a smile. A grand parody you have Sir Leo.
