The Lyrics

A Pokemon parody of Let There Be Rock.
In the beginning
Back in 1995,
Man didn't know about Pokemon
And all that jive
The Americans had Sega
The Japanese had Atari
No one knew what they were gonna do
But Nintendo had the news
They said -

Let there be trainers, and there were trainers
Let there be items, and there were items
Let there be moves, and there were moves
Let there be gym leaders, and there were gym leaders
Let there be 'mon!

And it came to pass
Here came the Pokemon dream
All across the world, every boy and girl
Was training up their team
Mr. Tajiri got famous
And Nintendo got rich
And in every room there was someone with a Mew
Who got it without a hitch
There were fifteen million fingers
Learning how to play
And you could hear the fingers pressing
And this is what they had to say

Let there be trainers
Items
Moves
Gym Leaders
Let there be 'mon!

Then one day, when it was dreary and cold,
Nintendo announced Pokemon Silver and Gold.
At a press conference, as the applause was loud
Satoshi then turned and he said to the crowd,

"LET THERE BE 'MON!!!"
