The Lyrics

[EDITED TO FIX MY PACING] Alice Cooper and most of the world might dig summer but summer is probably my least favorite season because it's just way too damn hot outside! (Oh and this is from a girl's perspective... Not that guy's don't hate summer too but just a head's up so the last line doesn't come out of left field)
I get so annoyed
When the sun destroys
The days we enjoyed
With heat it deploys

From sweat I am soaking
So blast that fan
When I'm heat stroking
I get mad!

Pool's packed all summer
Pool's jammed with gawkers
Pool just makes me nervous...

No more snow balls
Now I'm cooked
Heatwave's in the record books

Need to pour a glass
Of ice water down my shirt
Cause this blaze is too intense
You can even go cook an egg outside!

Cool? Not this summer
Cruel humid weather
Temperature increases!!!

Suck popsicles!
A/C's broke
I'm so hot I'll start to smoke

It's a Bummer
Like a spa
Wish this was Australia!!!

Pool's too damn awkward
Pool's packed all summer
Pool's crammed with creepers
Can't wear my bikini!!!
The Australia line was without a doubt a shout out to my bro, Conqueror of Parodies! In case you don't know Australia gets pretty cold in the summer time (June and July are the coldest months) while America gets super hot...

I tried reading this when it was originally posted but kept getting 404 parodies now that I've actually read it: 5's

Summer is giid until the last week or August/first week of September when ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. No need to warn us about the last line, coming out of left field is one of the primary methods of humor. Well done, 555

A lot of funny lines in here. I think you've managed to write a School's Out parody that is actually pretty darn good (which was your goal). Nice work!

(Artistry) There are a lot of good lines in here and the pacing was really good, but I felt there was a disconnect between the choruses and the verses. I get the overall concept of the parody is "Summer is too darn hot" but the verses were about how hot it is outside, then the main idea would switch to things that happen when you're at a crowded pool. It doesn't didn't seem cohesive to me. I think I would've like it a lot more if you would've stuck to either "it's too hot" or "crowded pool problems". But I did love the shot out to TCOP livin' in the land down under!

(Artistry) Gotta agree with B-Man on the non-focused-ness, cause that's totally a word now. Otherwise this was really good, loved the reference to yours truly (though just a warning, Aussie winter is more wet than cold). 555!

To make it worse, they pee in the pool.
