In the first part of my session,
I was looking at all the peeps.
There were dumbbells, barbells, weight machines,
There were people who were lean

The first thing I did was some bench pressing hard,
There’s a guy who’s around
He’s spotting me and he’s very smart.
I’m afraid the lunk will sound.

I go to the weightroom
‘Cause my muscles are lame
It feels bad to be here and go train.
In the weightroom, I’m gonna get some big gains,
But there ain’t no cure for this horrible pain.

After two sets of the presses hard,
My chest began to feel dead.
After three sets, I don’t think I can charge,
So I’ll do something else instead.
And the same thing happened with the muscles I worked.
Think I need to go straight to bed.

After nine months, I leave the gym pain-free
Cause I think I got strong, yipee!
There were times I upped the weights and things,
There was way less pain and things.
My body got an upgrade with the strength that’s newfound
But I still am not strong enough.
And in the weightroom, I will still stand my ground
Cause I still I am not strong enough.
