The Lyrics

In August 2001, Bush slept and hid on his Crawford ranch while the 9/11 hijackers plotted
(instrumental intro)

Shrub... slept in his easy chair.
Shrub... ignored the warnings there.
Shrub... didn't know what to do.
A profound miscue.

Dubya chose... to ignore - let it go.
So, he made it certain (yes, he did know).
Shrub... then hid - was never seen.
Connect dots? He missed.

Bush did try to make light of the worst:
"My Trifecta! I'm winning!"
Got his prize; through a plan so well-rehearsed:
Used war to incite us.
Press enshrined the right wing Shrub.

The right wing crows that they have won.
Cov'ring up stories about Dim Son.
Crime, all due to failure above.
Time won't change the meanness of Shrub
Aimless and never... never seen.
