"Scream At Me ( The Husband's Lament)"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

sometimes in our lives, we are the same
she causes sorrow
but if we surprise..
her with a ring, she's good tomorrow...

scream at me, I've always done wrong
it's now my lament..
she always carries on....
more.. it just goes on...
so I'll go and be
somebody to scream at

please.. mellow inside
if I've done some things, I'll fix tomorrow
and I'll never fulfill all of your needs
and you'll let me know

so just go to your mother's and sit in her room
then I won't be somebody to scream at
I think you have a problem..just start up your broom
then you won't need somebody to scream at

scream at me.. when there's a mess.
and I'll wipe it up..
so lease don't carry on..bore..
this won't take long..
and you'd better heed..
no more me to scream at

so just go to your mother's and sit in her room
then I won't be somebody to scream at
I think you have a problem..just start up your broom
then you won't need somebody to scream at

if there is a road.. that is long and bare
then I can hurry
I'm taking that road
you ugly toad
where you can't call me ( bawl me, uh huh)
call me...( bawl me)

I hope constructive criticism is OK here. This one doesn't rhyme where it's supposed to. Good parody writing means following the rhyme scheme of the original. "Scream at" doesn't work because it doesn't rhyme with "wrong" and "on" in the first, third, and fourth lines of the chorus.

BB, I understand your comments, but I don't have a problem with it, per se. We ALL want to write a parody which has a rhyme for every syllable... I'm yet to see one. Some I've seen come close. Given however, that this parody replaces "on" with "at" - there was little else that could be done.

sorry, BB I guess after almost 2000 parodies I should know your rules.. Thanks Hobbit for the vote of confidence.. I didn't realise it was such a strict science of making fun of songs..
