The Lyrics

We met as playmates
in stoney Meadow
we played with bunnies
by Eor's hedgerow
And we were cute
gave kids a hoot
And we were happy just to stick with our broot

Then came the letters
about conscription
they said our country
was on a mission
they needed pets
to grow their might
and shield the humans from the brunt of the fight

We had no bunnies
no-one to play for
They gave us Tigger
They gave us Eor
they trained us fast
there was no plan
and then they shipped us over to Vietnam

Now Vietnam had
A wicked landscape
nobody played and
nobody was safe
And we were scared (boom, boom)
So scared at night (night, night, night, night)
And tigger held his machine gun
Granade man was Eor
And Winnie commanded the fun

And we would all go down together
We said we'd all go down together
Yes we would all go down together

Remember Kanga
Remember Bunny
Their heads were ripped off
by charlie's gun-ny
Then Eor Peed!
And Tigger Ran!
And Winnie screamed the way that only Pooh can

Pooh fled the scene
but came up
with a plan
throw the granades
force them out
then the Pooh commanded tigger
to pull the trigger
Our bang was big but
Charlie's was bigger
They bombed us back (BOOM, BOOM)
And Eor whined (Whined,Whined,Whined,Whined)
They opened fire with machine gun
Surrounded could not run
and we were all slaughtered that night

And we would all go down together
We said we'd all go down together
Yes we would all go down together

AA Milne is spinning in his grave...:D but why wasn't Christopher Robin involved? (maybe he ran off to Canada?:D). And where was Owl? Also, the donkey was spelled "Eeyore"...And the rabbit's name was Rabbit. Not as funny as I hoped it would be, but high marks for the sheer tastelessness. 545

I knew Rabbit was called rabbit, but Bunny went so well with Gunny that I couldn't resist. I didn't know eeyore was spelled that way. I resisted having too many characters because I couldn't use them all in the limited lyrical space....

Well, I DO know the original, and I had been struggling with how to parody it! Now I won't bother ha ha! I loved the verse "Remember Kanga, Remember Bunny, Their heads were ripped off by charlie's gun-ny" LOL!
