The Lyrics

The theme for this one should be pretty obvious. I referenced a lot from the series in general as opposed to basing the whole thing on the most recent movie (Goblet of Fire), just so ya know. Watch out Ron, something wicked this way Krum... s...
They call me Harry Potter
I was raised in closet store
I'm always into trouble
And I'm friends with Dumbledore

Today I fought with Voldemort
I may have won this day
But I'm still the fool here at wizard's school
Who gets picked on more for a forehead sore
And I think that's really gay

My name is Harry Potter
And I've had to travel far
The Dursleys really hurt my head
Much worse than did my scar

Ah, my parents didn't haunt me
(they just) left me lots of gold
Learned to disappear, with this cloak over here
I shoulda kept my wit, and got the gold and split
But I joined the wizard fold

I am the Harry Potter
Playing a'with my wand
I've played most every quidditch match
And rescued friends from ponds

I had to duel dementors
And ride a hippogriff
And I helped a man, get out of Azkaban
Got down to the wire, for (a) Goblet of Fire
And all that left me stiff

My buddy Ronald Weasley
He wants the 'Head-Boy' crown
He's really good at Wizard's Chess
His wand's a hand-me-down

All the Weasleys go to Hogwarts
'Get's worse and worse' I moan
And I'd make a fuss, 'cause it's dangerous
But they just don't care, they got kids to spare
So I guess we're on our own

And there's Hermione Granger
She really knows a lot
She's read most Hogwarts records
And I think Ron thinks she's hot

Ah, the dance we all remember
She looked so nice my knees got weak
But she was dancing with Krum
So then Ron got glum
And he started with a fight
It really wrecked her night
When did this turn into Dawson's Creek?

I am Harry Potter
And I could use a beer
I'd trade my parents' money
(To) not 'almost die' this year

Ah, I'm always in the papers
And my fame is such a curse
But I just got back from 'his' last attack
And I think that Dobby is trying to rob me
And my headache's getting worse

They call me Harry Potter
And I ride a Firebolt
I'm siding with Hermione
Just in case house-elves revolt

Today I fought with Voldemort
I may have won this day
But I'm still the fool here at wizard's school
Who gets picked on more than any other year (four)
And I think that's really gay

It was pretty good for laughters, although some of the lines were a litle to long. But great fun times!

Wow, I think you got most everything in here! Loved the Dawson's Creek line. 555

Wow! This is awesome! Even though I've only read the first book and seen most of the first two movies, it was very easy to appreciate. TMGLTM.

This was loads of funny! Can't say for certain about pacing, I will let others who know the song say so.

Thanks BDW

I felt like that while watching the 'school-dance' scenes of the movie. Thanks, bro.

Awesome. I tried to take care of both the casual readers and the hardcore fans, so now I know I got at least one of the two. What does TMGLTM mean?

Thanks for stopping by Agri.

That's My Goat Licking That Monkey. Or: Too Many Great Lines To Mention, take your pick.

I'm... um... stupid. RIck C, that second sentance above is in response to your comment, and Claude, same thing I said to Rick, on the third one.

I'd love to give you five, but Voldemort's still alive, so I just don't have the time.

You know, you can complain that the dance and recent teen emotions are too angsty...but that's because when you're 14, everything IS angsty.

Anyway...this was a fun one...lots of good stuff...like Claude said, and "something wicked this way krum...s" made me LOL.

p.s. I don't think I 'got' the verse on the Weasleys...but that's okay...nice job, none the less. =)

Mike, I'm glad to have the approval of amiright's registered Billy Joel expert.

Thanks Arwen, it's all about the LOL. ANd there isn't much to get in the Weasley verse: Harry and his friends get into danger EVERY year (dangerous) and for all the perilous adventures, dementors and break-ins, the Weasleys keep letting their kids attend each and every year. What's THAT about?

Nice. Wish I knew the OS so I could hum along to your great rhymes.

(HP) Some wand'erful lines in this one.

(HP) Sweet, now I don't have to waste my time seeing the movie =)
