There's a traitor. who has gone astray,
He's now labeled with a wink. uh-ohh.
Sleeping dog's are best left where they lay,
Just a punk who's turned a fink.
He's like a cancer,
Don't fake Rome man's quiz.
Don't cross the wise.

Decide a life they drink their plan with wine,
Soon they're canning you with heat, Oh-no.
Make bad choices and real soon you'll find,
You'll get nailed, intered, delete.
Test fate with panthers,
Don't stake finances,
Don't trash these guys.

You can play your Roman smarts,
And think you can deceive.
But you are only lighting ire with fire,
You'll turn into a victim,
Of an accident conceived,
As sure as they will sic their boys on li-i-i-iars.

They're observerant, any rat can smell,
Don DiRoses with kiss greet, Whoa-oh.
Fools they're all, think maybe they can't tell,
There is danger in deceit.
Don't ask for waivers,
Don't mock no gangsters,
Don't cross the wise.

(Instrumental Interlude)

Yes today you're riding your last mile,
Now like toast you're burned away, ohh-noo.
You've been chilled and dumped into a pile,
Now a gnarly view, decay,
They booked a cancer
Who took some chances,
Don't cross the wi-i-i-i-se,
Don't trash the wise...

Nice mobster lullabye.....lol (oops, shouldn't laugh). Well, the song is so lilting, but the words are a deadly warning.

It brings up a warning of my own this weekend...don't trust ex.

I love your mob parodies, and this one is very good, as is everything else of yours I've read. You certainly don't want to mess around with wiseguys, or else you will find yourself in a 55-gallon drum at the bottom of the East River or something else undesirable.

Another enjoyable mob story. Moral is don't mess with 'em.

They're not at all good fellas, are they? A lot of good lines-- perhaps my fave is "you are only lighting ire with fire." :D

Guy, you are the mobster maven.

Don DiRito, as per your comment the other day, why don't your real gangsters take out these silly punk-a$$ street wanna-bes? They'd be doing us *all* a favor, and somehow, I think the cops would, uh... look the other way. I give you these Fives as a token of my respect.

Another fine job on the mob....should be a syndicate manual

Well, if it isn't Don DiRito, the jack-of-all-trades with mobster satires! I can also imagine Joe Pesci singing this song, because this satire makes me think of him in "Goodfellas"! I echo all comments above. This gets the message across: Ya don't want to mess with the mob! 555!

Pat - It's OK to laugh - that was the entire idea. I've actually known quite a few mobsters as I was growing up and most of them are just plain hilarious on how they act. Thanks!

Alvin - Yeah just like Luca Brazzi - you get the message via newspaper wrapped dead stinky fish. Thanks, buddy.

Andria - Yeah, hit men usually "drum" up a lot of business especially when they are hitting the mattresses. Thanks for commenting.

Timmy1K - Yeah but most of them are honest brokers, but they have rules and if you break their rules then something of yours goes brokers. Appreciate your comment.

Fiddlegirl - Yeah, I've always thought of the name of that movie "Good Fellas" to be so oxymoronic. They act more like "goon fellas". Thanks for sounding off - comments are always appreciated.

Well thanks Sir John - I have learned a new word today. I had to look up "maven" and I liked what I read about its meaning. You are too kind.

Don Tartaruga - My family wishes to extend our most heartfelt appreciation to your family on the tribute and respect you pay for our services. Ciao e grazzi.

Farce - What a concept - manual syndication! Thanks!

Christie Marie - Joe Pesci is so stereotypical of a mob member. The guy is a scream to watch. I know people who for real act just like he did in the "Good Fellas" movie. It would be way cool to hear someone like Pesci sing this parody. Thanks.

Truly Excellent Parody Sir... now, am I gonna wake up with a horse head or what?
Guy - September 27, 2009 - Report this comment
TJC - The horse's head scene was done so well in that movie. Everytime I watch it I replay that part because it is done so realisticly. But as for an an animal head in your bed when you wake up... Well that would depend - you ticked off any wiseguy's lately? =;-) Thanks!
