They pass laws they don’t read,
Or they don’t understand.
React to the moment, no future is planned.
And they only reveal what they want you to see.
They act like spoiled children.
They’re all fools or liars to me.

They can mess up your life,
They can cheat you or bleed you.
They come seeking your vote
But they don’t listen to you.
They solicit donations (a small access fee).
Still they lie like a rug;
They are all fools or liars to me.

Oh, they take care of themselves,
Boundless privilege and perks,
Corp and union largess.
Oh, they turn tricks for their friends,
Passing specialty laws
To nefarious ends.

They will promise you more
Than the Garden of Eden
Then they leave you no health care,
No jobs and no freedom.
They refute global warming,
And take aim at Darwin.
Blame it all on yourselves
Cause you’re guilty of voting them in.

They do what they need to
To get reelected.
Stick to partisan lines -
Common sense is rejected.
But they can't be convicted
They run this country
And the most they will do
Is throw breadcrumbs at you -
They are all fools or liars to me.
