The Lyrics

(bob: a short haircut all around )This parody is mainly what you want to read into it. So, your translation is what it means.
Snakes stop a-falling on my head!
I have to put my feet in high boots so I can tread,
Snatchin' at my wits.
Those snakes are a-bitin' on my head, they keep maulin'.

Well, I just do me some talkin' with my song
And I sang so snakes would take a hint from me and run.
Sleepin' on my bob*
Those snakes keep a-falling on my head, keep a-fallin'.

But I turn around, say whoa,
'Cause snakes that come to bite me won't delete me.
Before long, I'll repossess steps so they don't grieve me.

Snakes stop a-falling on my head!
That does not mean the bites will make my head turn red,
Dyin's not my thing.
See, I'm never gonna stop those snakes by restrainin'
So I'll be free,
Not let it worry me.

Snakes stop a-falling on my head!
That does not mean the bites will make my head turn red,
Dyin's not my thing.
See, I'm never gonna stop those snakes by restrainin'
So I'll be free,
Not let it worry me.

Well, I hated it! I have had it with these MF'ing parodies of that MF'ing snakes ona MF'ing plane! (Sorry, Adagio, couldn't resist doing those last two comments. It was a good one, and I like snake parodies a LOT more than I like snakes! -- Michael P)

ah, to "Denim And Lace" of course, which apparently must have been an Aussie song

I liked it -- especially after seeing the neding of Snakes on a Plane. I'm guessing that's the joke you were going for? It was just a little hard to understand just what was going on at parts in the song. With a little cleaning up, this could be made into something really great.

Well, I learned in school that in England it rains cats and dogs so as long as there is eagles and other flying raptors to catch them I guess the world can live with airborn snakes too. But if Elephants start to grow wings I'll get a rocket launcher!

Monty Python and the Flying Cobras? Lol. I hate it when snakes, proverbial or literal, fall on my head. Maybe a follow up with "Anaconda" to Heart's "Barracuda". 5s

Thanks iiryan, Peter and Jack. Actually I wasn't going for that movie about snakes, so there is nothing to clean up. Stu, that must be an Aussie song. I did remember the statement at the top (This parody is mainly what you want to read into it. So, your translation is what it means.) It obviously means something different to me than to anybody else. Here I am defending MY version of Snakes at the same time a movie came out about them. : ).

I wonder why this is the first parody of this original song I have heard. Good pacing although I don't quite understand what this is about. Be careful when you go hiking in the Burbank foothills at night in the summer.
Adagio - October 19, 2006 - Report this comment
Michael, I'd really appreciate not being addressed in that manner again...I realize that things can get said in the heat of the moment and perhaps you didn't realize that I would find your remark wholly inappropriate. Thank you.

Thanks 2Eagle!!
Holy MF'ing Inappropriate - October 19, 2006 - Report this comment
Adagio, Michael wasn't saying anything in the heat of the moment. His was referencing the most famous line in the movie Snakes on a Plane.

Didn't care for the content but it was a good read anyway.
