Parody Song Title:

"W Can't Stop Deceivin' (This Time Saddam Is Gone To Stay)"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I just cannot believe him when W smiles for the camera,
With a smirk of sly deception and a promise that next year we'll all have jobs.
And I just can't stop from heavin' when W's lying to the people,
But my heart was relieved when our troops caught Saddam!

This time Saddam is gone to stay,
This time Saddam is gone to stay,
Will W start a new war?

Oh, I just can't help my grievin' for the troops we lost in Iraq,
And I feel so small and helpless when their families tell me all about their loss.
W just won't stop deceivin' because he's trying for re-election
And their tears don't mean anything to him.

This time Saddam is gone to stay (This time Saddam is gone to stay),
This time Saddam is gone to stay,
Will W start a new war?

[instrumental verse]

Will W start a new war?
(I just cannot believe him,
I just cannot believe him,
I just cannot believe him,
I just cannot believe him)

Well put together, but aren't you being a bit unfair to the commander in chief? I could believe that Bill Clinton would not care about the troops because he didn't. Dubya does indeed care alot more about them then Clinton ever did. Maybe if Clinton would have acted when the Cole was attacked (an act of war) we would have never realized the tragedy of 9/11. I respect your views but I don't agree with them where this commander in chief only acts as if he cares about his troops. If this were true it would still be a lot better than the blatant animosity that Clinton displayed toward our military.

I reiterate that your parody was very well written and I scored it as such. Merry Christmas!

Yes -- exactly as unfair as I was to Bill Clinton when he was the perv, uh, commander in chief. I am an equal-opportunity politician-basher. Glad you enjoyed the parody, though :) MM

I sensed that about you Michael, being an EO basher. Good job but I still think you are wrong about Dubya and the troops.

I support the troops 100%, and I'm actually pro-war in the sense that I recognize the need to oust tyrants like Saddam and regimes like the Taliban which have absolutely no respect for human rights. I just don't think that excuses some of W's actions, most notably the P****** A**. I also think W is being inconsistent when it comes to China's tyranny and their unjust occupation of Taiwan and Tibet. I agree with you that 9/11 probably wouldn't have happened had not been for some major blunders by the Clinton administration in the area of national defense, and I also shudder to think of how we would have fared had Algore been the President at the time of the attacks. In fact, I probably agree with you about a lot. Stay tuned, I've dusted off the shelves and submitted a really nasty Clinton parody which should be up tomorrow :E

I'll be on the lookout for that Clinton one. Hope it's ripe. (Rubs hands together in anticipation).

Michael Mc, Well, of course you & Guy are just totally wrong. No, Just kidding...Michael, I have the same gut reaction to Bush and if it is correct that makes him a pretty odious character. He just doesn't ring true to me at any level. Clinton certainly had his faults but I don't see the same level of manipulation that is going on now. Glad Saddam Hussein has been caught and is in custody - a real sociopathic thug and a nasty butcher as well. The problem with basing military actions on false premises is that you lose credibility with allies you've been conning and eventually with your own people. And a serious by-product of these falsehoods comes down on the folks in the Armed Forces serving in these places. Everyone in Iraq who distrusts Bush is disposed to look at our troops as somehow part of his charade. If you want to know why so many folks here are cynical and alienated just track backwards to the Gulf of Tonkin "incident" that LBJ played games with. (Not that it wasn't being done before, but it seems to have been a critical point in our country's history.) "W" appears to be on the same path but even to a larger extent and that troubles me more than just a little. Well, Merry XMAS. Looks like there might just be some interesting exchanges about this in 2004. Hope the end result is Peace/Justice/Liberty in whatever order you like it.

Peace, Justice and Liberty.... I find it hard to put them in any order, because all three are vital. There is no true peace without both justice and liberty. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you guys as well :)

You're absolutely right about Bush, who is absolutely far-right. But as for Clinton, you'll notice that the day he left office, the World Trade Center still stood. They didn't dare try something like that when he was there. And if you think Gore would've been worse than Bush on the day Bush proved himself to be the worst national-security failure in Americna history, then you'd probably buy that bridge all those people used as an escape route.
