The Lyrics

Thanks to John A. Barry for suggesting this, here. OS lyrics used, here.

You can never know: two heads: less haze than one?
But we got together anyway, yay!
And I wonder: Are we on the same page now?
Or just wastin' time; should each go their way?

Collaboration: need arbitration
It keeps me up late
No sleepin', just waitin'

I admit it's not easy to deal with me; you do
Your insights disarm; you astound me
But I, I redid those lines quite late last night
Then I received your e-mail: "How trite!", you write to me

Collaboration, elaboration
Replyin', I wait
Thank God we're not datin'

And I hope that we'll always be together
We've riffed often; our project, next, will amaze
AmIRight will see a nice surprise soon, now
So stay right here; watch FG, TT pen plays

(FG, TT draw praise)
Folks, stay right here, and soon see a maze of phrase
(FG, TT, ablaze)
(We'll have you in a daze)
('Twill be the newest craze)
(Please wait ... a few more days!)

Seriously!

A cute parody overall. ^__^

"Thank God we're not datin'" Amen, that would certainly be the end of the parodies! ;-) Nice ditty, can't wait for the maze of phrase.

Mark Scotti: Shelling out thanks to you!

Stephen Harrington: Long time, no see! Where ya been, bro? .... Thanks, and nice ta see ya back! :)

blackjack21: Undoubtedly -- we'd be too busy... n/m ;) ... and it's now official: The Maze of Phrase opens Wednesday, September 30, (or, as they say across the Pond, 30 September), 2009 (or, as they say across the Pond, 2009). Two free tickets to Opening Night for you -- and no, *don't* split 'em and double down, unless it's a can't-lose situation :) ... thanks for v/c!

Christie Marie M: Thanks! ... and see comment above re: Opening NIght.... and I hate to let any secrets out, but for all of this work, it "might" be more than *one* collaborated parody. See you there!

How could there ever be a more cleverly-written and insightful lyric? It's as though TT's parodies are touched by God. When he writes, Heaven itself opens, and the angel choir joins in chorus to sing his praises. If I could only sit at the foot of his chair, basking in the glow of his sage wisdom and collecting rare pearls therein, my heart and soul would be fulfilled and my joy complete.

@ Everyone else: Don't ask. Just don't ask. ;)

TT, I have an idea: I'll come up with titles and leave the work to you. Nice job on this.

Fiddlegirl: Methinks mesmells menote of mesarcasm, medear.... She jests at scars, that never felt a wound .... Oh, that this too, too solid shell should melt, thaw, and resolve itself not to do you.... (from mam-- I mean, memory).... I guess I'm supposed to say "thanks for the v/c", right? Yeah, I guess I am.... interesting custom, that...

John A. Barry: When the ideas are this good, it's not "work"; they write themselves. Methinks thou comes up with a few titles of thy own -- say, 2500 or so --- but thanks for sharing this one, and any others. And thanks for the v/c.

Liked the line "ablaze", though I'm sure it was NOT meaning me. 555

Not sarcasm at all... perhaps "over the top" copious and glowing praise.

One half of Fid is yours, the other half yours-
Mine own, I would say; but if mine, then yours,
And so all yours!

A sparkling amuse-spouche of prime parody followed by scintillating freshets of byplay n' banter--but here's the real mark of a fine chefodist... a pleasant lingering laughtertaste! 5 Michelin stars for The Tiiddle Brasserie... can I have a doggie bag?

DJ Blaze: No offense, but, uh, you are correct, Sir... but tuvm for the v/c!

FG: O blessed, blessed night! I am afeard.
Being in night, all this is but a dream,
Too flattering-sweet to be substantial.
But...
I take thee at thy word:
Call me but love, and I'll be new baptized;
And what love can do that dares love attempt.

TJC: A fine wine, with no whine! A multi-course feast of intercourse, interspersed with sorbets of pun-seared wit, finished 'n drawn better! Take whatever scraps you like -- if any be left! :)

Doc M: Thanks much, Docmeister! ... no, wiat, that would be a stevadore, wouldn't it.... thanks, Doc M!

You are welcome. And as soon as Igor finishes cleaning up the lab, I'll get you something special.
