The Lyrics

This parody is supposed to be a hybrid of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" with Britney Spears's "Brave New Girl." They have a similar rhyme scheme, but "Brave New Girl" doesn't have many lyrics to make a coherent story out of. Here is my final result. Enjoy!
(Spoken)
The devil went down to Kentwood
He was looking for a soul to steal
And he don't want New York
And he don't want L.A.
And was willin' to make a deal.

When he came upon this brave girl singing
a "Toxic" song, think it was called
the devil went down to this tiny town
and he said,
"Girl, let me tell you what:

I bet you didn't know it
but I'm a pop star singer too
And if you care to take a dare
I'll make a bet with you
Now you sing a pretty good "Toxic", girl
But can you carry a tune?
We'll do American Idol to win your soul
'Cause I can sing better than you."

The girl said, "My name's Britney
I don't wanna behave
And I'll take your bet 'cause I sing the best
'Cause I'm the best there's ever been.

(Sung)
Tonight, I'm gonna step outside
and uncover my eyes
'Cause hell's broke loose in Kentwood
Who knew I could feel alive"
"If Simon cheers you get this record contract made of gold
If Simon boos the devil gets your soul."

(Spoken)
The devil turned on his microphone and said,
"I'll start this show."
And fire flew from his evil voice

As he practiced all his scales
He needed a song for him to sing
A song with an evil hiss
Then a band of demons joined in
And it sounded something like this

(Sung)
"Tell me how am I supposed to live without you
Now that I've been lovin' you so long
How am I supposed to live without you
How am I supposed to carry on
When all that I've been livin' for is gone"

(Spoken)
When the devil finished Simon booed
"That's atrocious, evil one!"
But Britney said, "that chair is bare
And let me show you how it's done!

(Sung)
So she met this guy, was kinda rough
He asked, "Girl, just what are you looking for?"
I said that I don't know, let's go with the flow
Britney, you're an adult? Yes! Child? No!"

(Spoken)
The devil bowed his head
And then he got down on his knees
And he saw Britney on both feet
And not taking the back seat
Britney said, "Devil, this brave new girl
right here, coming out tonight I was.
My M.O. has changed
Don't wanna behave
I'm the best there's ever been!"

She played:

(Sung)
"So I met this guy with pointy ears
Devil's in the hometown of Britney Spears
Gonna write some songs and make lots of dough
Will the critics like me? No, baby, no"
