The Lyrics

Okay I had MAJOR fun writing this. I recall that one particular day, when Christie Marie M was doing what she did best. Giving us all very nice comments, when who should arrive and spoil the fun, but Lucifer himself. This is how it all went down...
The devil went down to Am-I-Right wondering what all the fuss was 'bout
He nearly cried seeing that all was fine in some comments he was making out
When he came across a nice girl writing a comment, and writing it nice
The devil snatched up her keyboard and said, "Being nice won't suffice:
"I'll bet you're just a soft-heart" the devil said to her with a grin
"And if you're smart, you'll rethink your post as you read that spoof again.
"Now you may think I'm crazy, but come on now, think this through
"You've got to know that spoof's too lame to have a nice comment from you"
The girl stood up and smacked him hard right across the chin
She said "I know that simply bashing a spoof here is a holy sin."

Christie struck the devil hard and now the game is on
'Cause now the devil is gonna challenge her to the action
And I don't know just how all of this will play out
But everyone's wondering what it's all about

The devil rubbed his face in pain and said, "Oh now it's on."
And fire spread from his eye sockets as his temper heated on
And he grew ten feet taller and the ground beneath him hissed
And he summoned hell to attack poor Christie knowing he couldn't miss

(sounds of fighting, Demons squabbling in their own language as Christie fights every single one and wins despite their number)

Well Christie finished off the wave and said, "You're pretty strong.
"But you had your chance to get me, but now you're on the run."

Go go Christie, show that son
The devil threatens us and he made me run
Kick him in the chest and beat his head
Knock him out cold, knock him dead.

(more sounds of fighting, and struggling, mostly from the devil, as Christie, with the power of her friends is faster, and has grown considerably stronger)

Christie knocked him in the head and made him fall to his feet
The devil crawled away fast knowing he was in defeat
Christie said, Devil don't you ever come back here again
I beat you once, I'll beat you twice then I'll throw you in the den

Go go Christie, show that son
The devil threatens us and he made me run
Kick him in the chest and beat his head
Knock him out cold, knock him dead.
I think this just may be the most epic fight this site has ever seen...

Nice effort! It sounds like Christie Marie M beat the "hell" out of him! Personally, I'd never compare nasty reviewers and one bombers to the devil...the devil is on the whole a much nicer individual. ;D

OMR: Believe me man. The devil is no nice guy :). But yeah Christie beat the hell out of him. It was so epic.

Very good... a bit hard to follow, still well-done though. I might be a better-suited person to fight the devil, but then again, it's CMM's parody, not mine. :D 5s.

Claude Lemieux would be proud.

There ya go, Samurai! I knew you'd write a parody about me sooner or later! I'm so deeply touched my eyes are welling. I just hope that I don't have to run into the devil himself. I may be a nice girl, but on the other hand, if I had a very bad day, if people get me upset, if I lose my temper, or my feelings get hurt, then I'd beat the crap out of the devil himself! Very cool parody and tribute about me! I'd stick 555 pitchforks to the devil himself.

Christie really deserved this tribute. Nice job on a song on one of my best friends around here. Now that you mention it, I think Satan is pretty much the only person who wouldn't like her! 555

Your welcome Christie! I had to write one sooner or later. And this one was fun, and I mean FUN to write. DJ: Of course she deserved it. And yeah, who doesn't like Christie? She's so nice!

DKTOS, but any tribute to Christie is cool with me. Unfailingly enthusiastic in her comments, as are these Fives for you.

Unique and well deserved tribute to one of AIR club's most prolifice parody authors

Uh, Chrisite, I think you have a pretty devoted fan ;) Welcome to SOTM, Rhyming was a bit rough, but its always fun to read a parody that tributes a deserving author, 5s on principle

A: What Dave said. B: Me I'm not a big fan on songs about the authors on the starting line of SOTM, that makes the whole thing a tad too introspective IMHO, could make it harder to attract new participants, but seeing you're a firsttimer and she's a second or third I guess I'll have to take that into account this time. :-)

I haven't been around much lately so I did not witness the epic battle in question, but if it inspired a song like this, I'm gonna go ahead and take your word for it. As for the whole site-specific parody thing, I've never seen that as any different from writing about any other specific topic, like, say, The Yankees or Pokemon. Oh, and good parody. It was actually easy to follow, even without knowing the story behind it. Well done.

I never had a problem with tribute parodies and I've even written a few myself (To Jeff, Dave, Arwen and Red Ant) but I never put one into a SOTM contest because I feel like a song about a certain author is good because they deserved to have a song written about them but having people vote on it in a contest of that kind of magnitude doesn't seem right. I haven't seen you around before this so keep up the good work.

You guys are all awesome. Thanks for the good ratings and nice words. I am very much satisfied knowing that you all believe this to be as good a parody as I hoped it would be.

SOTM - Nice to read this touching trib the second time, Samurai! I'm still touched. I still hope I don't run into the devil himself and hope not to battle him, but just for the last time, for the "hell" of it! LOL!!! The idea of me battling numerous demons made me think about the 1000 Heartless battle from Kingdom Hearts 2. Keep on participating SOTMs and good luck, dude! :)

(SOTM) Interesting little tribute to one of our more enthusiastic alumni. I'm pretty sure that sentence makes sense. Parody's a little rough around the edges, but hey, you're kinda new to this whole deal. 555, good sir.
