@William: unfortunately (and I say this as someone from outside the US who has no partisan prejudice) this site has become an unhappy place overwhelmingly down to the input from one "side", spewing insult and invective at anyone who disagrees with them politically. Nearly always under cover of pseudonyms, coming across as the worst sort of bullying, lying, unbelievably stupid specimens of humanity it has been my misfortune to encounter. With Trump as figurehead, they have been emboldened to make everybody else's lives as miserable as they could. Hopefully, the current bullying, lying, unbelievably stupid incumbent of the White House will be roundly defeated, and his groupies can crawl back under the rock whence they came.

Phil, I agree with most of what you say but dont say that its coming from the Right only. I know better. I was subjected to the worst trolling imaginable from the left, back in 2013 to 2015. So much so that I stopped with political parodies for years, simply for the sake of the website. The fate of the Republic does not hinge on any work being posted here. Moreover, many authors are known commodities around here, so if you know their works will piss you off, why read them?
I didn't say "only", I said "overwhelmingly" which is and *always* has been the case: there has never been from anyone else anything like the boorish, bullying behaviour seen from the insane wing of the Republican Party (I'm not saying "all Republicans, either, just the usual crowd of cowardly pseudonyms) - I did a quick scan of your political parodies in that period, and saw nothing negative and some nice things said about them from the site's more left-wing contributors.
I hesitated to post this parody... Almost sorry I cam back.
