Song Parodies -> "Charlottesville"

Original Song Title:

"Charlotte's Web"

Original Performer:

Debbie Reynolds

Parody Song Title:

"Charlottesville"

Parody Written by:

Hu's On First

The Lyrics

Please stay home, Wilbur

Marching through town with tiki torches
Heat from fires and their hatred scorches
Sleep my love, stay home safe, far away

Rocks being thrown, tear gas spraying
Someone shouts, cursing the Jews
Hateful and terrible, swastikas wearable
Charlottesville

Purposeful car crash turns deadly
Makes international news
Overgrown vermin, he loved Nazi Germany
Charlottesville

Why do they think that they can get away with this hate?
President Trump dragged his feet, then denounced them
Two days too late

(Spoken):

Richard Spencer: What are you doing?
Andrew Anglin: Website maintenance
Richard Spencer: Why so late?
Andrew Anglin: GoDaddy revoked my domain privileges after I slandered Heather Heyer in a post. So I need to move my site within 24 hours. Go to sleep Richard.
Richard Spencer: Good night Andrew
Andrew Anglin: Good night Richard

Often when mankind hates mankind
Violence soon will appear
Like Dylann Roof, now there's even more proof of it
Charlottesville

The topic matches the mood of the song perfectly (although Debbie didn't sing it, some anonymous male chorus did). Bonus points for spoken dialogue (I had no idea who the speakers were, but it's you good you called them out, I think). The Roof/proof line was my favorite.
