Parody Song Title:

"Joaquin"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Is it shallow that for some people in New York, their biggest Hurricane Joaquin concern is whether it will interfere with their coveted baseball tickets? (This parody lyric was triggered by a NY Times article where both the Hurricane and the baseball schedule were covered.)
Joaquin, Joaquin, Joaquin, Joaquin!
I'm begging of you please don't ruin our plans
Joaquin, Joaquin, Joaquin, Joaquin
Don’t ruin it for us loyal baseball fans

Your wind has power and awesome force
We’re hoping that you steer off course
Our wish is that you never make the scene

We hope our shallow point of view
Won’t stop our prayer from getting through
You don’t know what this means to us, Joaquin

Joaquin, Joaquin, Joaquin, Joaquin!
I'm begging of you please don't ruin our plans
Joaquin, Joaquin, Joaquin, Joaquin
Don’t ruin it for us New York baseball fans

Joaquin! Joaquin!

A storm that avoids cancelling a baseball game will also refrain from breaking windows, ripping off roofs, and doing all sorts of mayhem. The "selfish" desires of the fans coincide directly with the best outcome for everyone.

coming from someone who's not a fan of Dolly's whatsoever... better than the original! 5's
