The Lyrics

Oh look, another "American Pie" parody. But I bet no one's written one about Final Fantasy VI before, so... there's that. Also, I'm sorry I couldn't find a way to squeeze in Cyan's antiquated mannerisms.
A long, long time ago
I was not the only one
Who lived within this kingdom grand
I had all I could want in life
A precious child and a loving wife
And a prime position as the king's right hand

But then some clown arrived, take note
He threw some poison in the moat
And our beloved nation
Was reduced to desolation

Now I'm the only one alive
But I must be strong and I mustn't cry
I took my sword and bid goodbye
The day that Doma died

Oh, bye bye to the lone samurai
Forced to wander way out yonder with no one by his side
The road is long and the dangers are high
But a samurai will never say die
A samurai will never say die

Let's flash back to that day
Before everything I loved went astray
And I was not a broken soul
I was walking with my fair Elaine
Watching Owain chase the cherry blossom rain
I wouldn't trade this life for its weight in gold

But the king then called me to his throne
To tell me what was going on
The Empire was on our tail
But I knew that we'd prevail

So he sent his soldiers into the brig
And though the Empire's guns were pretty big
We snapped them all in half like twigs
The day that Doma died

We were singing bye bye to the lone samurai
Forced to wander way out yonder with no one by his side
The road is long and the dangers are high
But a samurai will never say die
A samurai will never say die

Now the enemy camp lay dead and still
We thought we'd won the war, until
We saw one slip out of our grasp
He was all made up like a juggalo
With clothes in every color of the rainbow
He looked upon our forces and he laughed

Well, I tried to tell the folks in town
But no one ever suspects a clown
Stop dreaming, man, they said
You must be out of your head

But there was something there behind that grin
Something sick and twisted deep within
This homicidal harlequin
The day that Doma died

And he was singing bye bye to the lone samurai
Forced to wander way out yonder with no one by his side
The road is long and the dangers are high
But a samurai will never say die
A samurai will never say die

Now, the clown slipped in without a trace
With a ten gallon barrel of toxic waste
And dumped it into the water supply
A thousand soldiers met their doom
As they choked to death on poison fumes
And I don't know just how, but I survived

And when I went back to check on Elaine
She'd keeled over dead, and so had Owain
I cried out in misery
Oh, why had it not been me?

And the king I'd known like a second father
Drank from a goblet of tainted water
That led him to a silent slaughter
The day that Doma died

And I was singing bye bye to the lone samurai
Forced to wander way out yonder with no one by his side
The road is long and the dangers are high
But a samurai will never say die
A samurai will never say die

Now I've been traveling many a mile
With a burly monk and his feral child
I quite enjoy their company
They've got troubles of their own
We're lost, but we are not alone
As we wander through this final fantasy

And I still hear the Phantom Train
It's leaving with my fair Elaine
All has been forgiven
The train heads straight for heaven

As I travel down this winding trail
If you may ask, I might regale
The sorrowful and harrowing tale
Of the day that Doma died

And I'll be singing bye bye to the lone samurai
Lone no longer as he wanders with his friends by his side
The road is long and the dangers are high
But a samurai will never say die
A samurai will never say die

And I'll be singing bye bye to the lone samurai
Lone no longer as he wanders with his friends by his side
The road is long and the dangers are high
But a samurai will never say die

No one here gets blase about a parody of "American Pie" In fact it is considered one of the "Big Seven" ... Seven songs that separates the masters from the rest. Ive never done this song, but I have done its equivalent, "The Major Generals Song." ...... And I can tell that your "pacing" is flawless; ie, your parody "sings" exactly like the original. So this is really good. You have talent

Pay no mind to that 444 score, that was an error .. should have been a 555. And if you suddenly have a rash of upvotes or downvotes, generally 13 of them, ignore that as well. Thats just some d*ps&*t screwing with our scoring system.

Why hasn’t ChuckyG done anything about the bogus 13 votes anymore?
