The Lyrics

I think everyone does a parody on this song sooner or later. However, it's my second favorite song so I decided that it needed to be about something special to me. The Hobbit is my favorite book, so I decided to make this a song for Bilbo to sing when he's telling stories. I think you Lord of the Rings fans will enjoy it.
A long, long time ago
Gandalf the Grey traveled to my tiny little hobbit hole
He put a mark upon my door
That said, "Here lives a burglar"
And dangerous adventure is his goal
I was expecting tea on Wednesday
Instead I got Dwarves, to my dismay
Tales of gold in me shook
The spirit of brave Bull Took
I didn't know what I'd begun
Or if I would have any fun
I headed towards the rising sun
When I left Hobbiton

So
Bye, bye, my home Bag-End goodbye
Walked a distance with persistence to the mountain top high
And if I reach my goal and if I don't die
I'll come back and have some Hobbiton Pie
Nothing's like a Hobbiton Pie

Did you know I woke up late
And was told that the Dwarves wouldn't wait
So I quickly had to go
Ah, would you believe I fought a Troll
They wanted to eat my friend's whole
And they almost cooked them alive real slow
Well I knew that something wasn't right
They would all agree and then they'd fight
Suddenly they were prone
The three trolls had turned into stone
We found a cave with Orcrist and Glamdring
And so for myself, I grabbed the mighty Sting
These weapons were fit for a king
Thank goodness for the sun

And I was singing!
Bye, bye, my home Bag-End goodbye
Walked a distance with persistence to the mountain top high
And when I reach my goal and if I don't die
I'll come back and have some Hobbiton Pie
Nothing's like a Hobbiton Pie

Well we finally got to Rivendell
One last break ere we would enter hell
But we could not stay long there
Then we got captured by the Goblin King
And I fought Gollum and stole his ring
I did not know it caused such despair
O' and while we thought we got lucky
Some wolves trapped us up in a tree
The goblin horde arrives
The eagles save our lives
And they took us to great Beorn's place
Where we got all our stuff replaced
The thoughts of Orcs were all erased
The journey's halfway done

The Dwarves were singing!
Bye, bye, my home Bag-End goodbye
Walked a distance with persistence to the mountain top high
And when I reach my goal and if I don't die
I'll come back and have some Hobbiton Pie
Nothing's like a Hobbiton Pie

Very scary, we were all quite wary
Bombur got sick so we had to carry
His fat ass throughout the wood
The elves all misunderstood
They thought spies and took them where they stood
I got free so I should save them if I could
Well we got free using their barrels
But still had to face many perils
We all got into Dale
And no one thought that we would fail
So we headed to that mountain hall
With no good sort of plan at all
I was lucky I was not mauled
Why'd I leave Hobbiton?

And Dale was singing!
Bye, bye, my home Bag-End goodbye
Walked a distance with persistence to the mountain top high
And when I reach my goal and if I don't die
I'll come back and have some Hobbiton Pie
Nothing's like a Hobbiton Pie

O' and then we were trapped in that cave
A place that was almost our grave
But Smaug flew off to destroy Dale
So come on, arrow fly far, hit this snake
Smaug crashed into Dale and the lake
"cause Smaug had one patch naked goes the tale
O' and as I found the Arkenstone
The Elves and Men came for a loan
To end the awful fight
I slipped out in the night
And as the days kept passing us all by
We sensed that something was awry
We knew that Goblins were coming nigh
They would kill everyone

We all were singing!
Bye, bye, my home Bag-End goodbye
Walked a distance with persistence to the mountain top high
And when I reach my goal and if I don't die
I'll come back and have some Hobbiton Pie
Nothing's like a Hobbiton Pie

When I came to I was quite soar
And fortunately we won the war
But we had a big price to pay
I went down to King Thorin's tent
To win the battle his life he'd spent
He forgave me and quietly passed away
Dead Dwarves and Orcs were all around
Bodies of Elves and Men on the ground
My quest it seems was finished
My spirit, undiminished
I traveled home with a chest of gold
To keep me rich until I grow old
And this is the story I have told
Back here in Hobbiton

And I was singing
Bye, bye, my home Bag-End goodbye
Walked a distance with persistence to the mountain top high
And when I reach my goal and if I don't die
I'll come back and have some Hobbiton Pie
Nothing's like a Hobbiton Pie

I was singing!
Bye, bye, my home Bag-End goodbye
Walked a distance with persistence to the mountain top high
And when I reach my goal and if I don't die
I'll come back and have some Hobbiton Pie...

Not into LOTR things, much....but, I like the original song...and I must say I admire your accomplishment, here... in parody feats, it's almost equivalent to the "Egytians building the Pyramids"
