Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Charlie Manson"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

bad genes, baby...hell, he's crazy
leader of his band
evil eyed...viper's smile
he's really a messed up man
court subpoened...that ol' hyena
put him on the stand
and the jury...found him guilty
charlie manson's in the can

hippie freaks...out in the street
carved their foreheads for their god
charlie's cracked...he just laughs
the prison guards all think he's mad
this psycho man...created plans
it was pure delirium
dwelling on...old beatle songs
the words, he warps...he schools his chums

but oh...he was filled with zeal
lies and fear...was his career
told his crew...that you must heed me
he acted awfully....lowly

what a loser...charlie manson
told his heathens...do it my way
mowing down both men and women
he's had a busy day today

bad genes, baby...hell, he's crazy
leader of his band
evil eyed...viper's smile
he's really a messed up man
court subpoened...that ol' hyena
put him on the stand
and the jury...found him guilty
charlie manson's in the can

Did you read my parody of "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge? Nice word play on this one 455.

The CA prison system's a mess, but at least it's not paroling this loony tune. 5s.

Excellent job, alvin..."court subpoened...that ol' hyena" is one of the most imaginative, funny, and, in this case, accurate short lines I have read in quite a while...Charlie would probably give you "ones" for this, though, but I'm carving you some 5's - not in my forehead, though ~ ~ ~

Timeless OS, and a great parody, Alvin.

For the record, (and I may have said this before) when I was a little kid, I thought that Charles Manson and Charles Bronson were the same guy...couldn't figure out why he was allowed to be out, making movies and stuff. Give me a break, I was like 7...around the same time that I thought for sure that Jimmy Carter was the one who'd shot Reagan. Don't ask me why...=)

Arwen - You probably had Jimmy Carter and Manson confused...lol...Man, I remember when Crazy Charlie's picture graced the front page of the L.A. Times back then...BIG PICTURE...the next day some lady waved a carving knife at me from her front porch while I was walking down the street (I had real long hair and a beard at the time...however, I was not affiliated with the Manson group...I swear...I did, however, inhale)...I knew then things were gonna be changing...time to give up hitch-hiking for sure...lol...

Your parody is an excellent example of why we don't have Manson On the Street, way down in L.A., every day. (Anybody wanna try that one? You can have full credit.)

I love it when I can say that reading someone elses parody gave me an idea for one of my own, and that's exactly what happened here. When it'll be done noone knows, but it went directly into my sketch book. :-)

Hi again! I did a little research and the facts that I needed (or should I say the words) fell right into place in just two writing sessions, so keep an eye out for my "Charlie Manson’s Loony Tunes Thug Band" later today. And thanx for the inspiration (Alvin and Michael)! :-)
