This is my tribute to ABC'S Peter Jennings, who died Sunday night. He always had my utmost respect. This isn't perfect, but it's the best I can do. RIP Mr. Jennings.

Darrell, nice tribute to a fine professional and a gentleman. Unlike many of today's news anchors Jennings actually had a solid reporting background and wrote many of his own stories that he delivered on the air...his kind is all but gone and will not likely be seen again...our loss...did not vote because I can't place the whole song in my mind and lack time to find the OS and listen to it...Suggestion...Darrell, if you happen to think it is not quite perfect in some places set it aside for a week or maybe two and come back to it and see if you can make the parts you are less than 100% with and see if you can make them better...I know that when I have tried to get a tribute piece like this out quickly that I might write a pretty good piece but still miss some obvious ways to make it even better...they come easier when you look back at it after creating a bit of distance from your original frame on mind when you wrote it...the idea is not necessarily to re-post it...unless you really raise the bar significantly, but just to see how good you can make it...Good luck...
