The Lyrics

This is what I thought the lyrics were when I was a little kid. Btw I know it might look like I just made all this up to make it look like this is what I heard when I was a kid, but this is, in fact, what I heard, so please be nice. Enjoy :D
When are you going to calm down?
Where are you going to land?
I should have stayed on my farm
I should have listened to that command

You know you can't hug me forever
I didn't come up with you
I'm not a person for your friends to open
This boy's too young to be singing the blues
Oooohhhh, Ahhh, ahhh ahh ahhh ahhh

So goodbye yellow brick road
Where the Dawson society howl
You can't make me write to my penpal
I'm going back to my plow

Back to the hollowing old cow in the woods
Back to the hairy back toe
Oh I've finally decided my future life
Big yawn, the yellow brick road
Ahhh, ahhh, ahhh, ahhh, ahhh, ahhh ahhh ahhhh

Why do you think you do that?
You're practicing down the drain
It'll take you a couple of podgas and tomics
To set you on your feet again

Maybe you'll get a replace man
There's plenty like me to be found
Mongrels who ain't got a penny
Sniffing for tidbits on the ahhhh

Ahhh ahhh ahhhh ahhh ahhh ahhh ahhhh ahhh ahhhh ahhhh ahhh

Repeat Chorus

Anyone else have trouble deciphering the lyrics? I did until last year(I'm turning 20 this week) lol.

Who the heck gave me ones??? The pacing was not that bad!

The ones guy never leaves comments, s/he just hits and runs. This is cute. I've misinterpreted some of Sir Elton's lyrics in the past, but there are other bands who have given me more trouble - Ric Ocasek and the Cars, for one.

Thanks Rex :D I have had a lot of trouble deciphering pretty much all of Elton's songs hehe, always hearing something completely different from what it actually is. Thanks again! :D

"Where the Dawson socity howl"? You're really up the creek with that one! I, too, had trouble figuring this one out, but then, there's a lot of Elton tunes like that. The most notable, of course, being "Bennie and the Jets." She's got electric boots, not electric boobs!
