The Lyrics

This parody I wrote after Elton John changed the words to "Candle in the Wind"(about Marilyn Monroe) to be about Princess Dianna. I wondered if he would write more songs about dead women
Hey kids, lets sit down together,
I’m gonna sing some songs
I’ve rewritten even better
They’ll make you laugh and cry tonight
So sing along
Your gonna hear some brand new lyrics
To some tired old song.
Princess Di was not the first
Oh and there’s so many more
They’re on my Tribute to Dead Chicks
Oh some were weird, some were wonderful
Some of them were really keen
Some with silicone boobs, or Prozac moods,
Some took their clothes off in a magazine
They’re on my Tribute to Dead Chicks

Hey kids they died throughout the ages
Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Check the history pages
No one survives, so sing my song
Amelia Earhart’s plane crashed in the jungle, no one found her and she’s gone
Mother Teressa can be canonized now, now that she’s checked out
She’s on my Tribute to Dead Chicks
It’d be weird if Karen Carpenter knew Momma Cass
Maybe things could have worked out
If Karen could have ate, off Cass’s plate,
They might be singing a duet together
On my Tribute to Dead Chicks
Kathrine and Audry Hepburn both gone now
Janis Joplin spaced out.
They're on my Tribute to Dead Chicks
Oh some were weird, some were wonderful
Some of them were really keen
Helen Keller cried, for Betty Davis eyes
No more Ann Landers in my magazines
Oh, just in my Tribute to Dead Chicks
Tribute, Tribute Tribute to Dead Chicks

Another great lady I still miss is Jackie Kennedy; and her son, as well . . . and what a god ~JFK~ was ! !

Much better than the OS. Especially liked the Karen Carpenter/Mama Cass thing, too

Hilariously morbid! Ditto what the others said about the Carpenter/Cass, that was brilliant.

Love it. It's a good thing you didn't mention Anna Nicole Smith. She's one chick I DON'T miss- NOT AT ALL. She was horrible, so very horrible- hated her. She married that 98 year old oxygeniarian just to get at his inheritance money. Her show was an absolute garbage dump. Great song though- 5's comin your way.

C'mon! Anna Nicole Smith was cool, and her death a great tragedy! Dr. Music is just cruel.
