Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Hey, if Bill Clinton decided to publish him memoirs in popular song format, this could be an excerpt :

Cigars light, your breasts in the darkness
Time for more "dic"tation, in my house of white
I'm so inspired, as you just knelt before me
Rising near, hope my bladder holds tonight

It's great, interns are at my calling
Did my sword dance, but please don't tell the wife
And I mislead, my country when I wet you
Humidor, for my cigars right there, in sight

I got Lewinsky down on me
Just can't control myself, she's speaking slowly to my chief
That's just my presidential staff's way to get some relief
Service everything, just ask my aides going down on me

I don't mind, just kneel on the service line
And serve me once, promotions in the deal
Don't disclose this, it will set off GOP alarms
But this staff I have, it needs love, so please don't squeal

I got Lewinsky down on me
Just like in Arkansas, interns bow to my staffing needs
They see my trouser teleprompter, and start to read
Power's everything, just ask my aides going down on me...

Good one, Mark. Great line in "interns bow to my staffing needs". 6 would be more appropriate, but all I can give you are 5's.

A blast from the past... The 'trouser teleprompter' line, in particular, tickled my, er, fancy!

Thanks, TJC, yes, his teleprompter was read quite often. Thanks, Alvin, I'll look out for yours tomorrow..

Funny, but did you notice that after eight years of Clinton, this country was better off than it had ever been; while after eight years of the guy who said he'd "restore honor and integrity to the White House," we had our worst economy in 75 years and our worst reputation around the world in, well, ever? Maybe Dubya bought himself the wrong kind of Hummer!

funny- clinton had a republican house and senate creaqting the prosperity, unlike now, and he had and monica, and hillary that we know of, and what a great example for our kids. oh that's right, liberals hate babies and like playing God and killing them in the womb. i forgot how the compassionate liberals are . . .

This one would rock as a recording especially with the Bill Clinton impersionation. Pretty sure you trimmed this song down because I remember the old Mad TV or SNL skit where a singer was singing this song and each time they thought he was done he kept going, and going.
Mark Scotti - May 11, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks, Matthias. That would be a GREAT skit!!

Ok, well, Mark, I have to be honest and I hope that doesn't offend you. This one, though, is probably my least favorite. The original really doesn't give you a whole lot to work with, I'll admit that much, but this topic was done so heavily back when it was news, that there wasn't much new you could spin on it, and in this one--I've heard the few lines of 'funny' that were in this one before, and the news is so tired and old. . .Clinton is 2.5 president elections ago, and sex scandals have happened since then with both parties. I'm sorry buddy, but this one just didn't do it for me, I feel it's like beating a very dead political horse, I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't get into it.
Mark Scotti - May 13, 2010 - Report this comment
Sorry it disappointed you, Dave. I know I just wrote it last year, about an old subject, but the subject screamed out at me afeter hearing the song on the radio. I litereally almost wrote the song verbatem as i drove into work, and I think it's still funny..

You should get the trouser teleprompter patented. I can see Matty's skits for this as well :-)

Presidential "aides" of thanks to you, Jeff!!!

(Artistry) Great job, and in this case, old news is good news. Well-done, and it's a shame to still see rob's off-topic ranting here.
Mark Scotti - May 14, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks, Andria. it was like kismit, at the time when I wrote this, Clinton was writing his memoirs, I heard the song, and the muse took hold...
Agrimorfee - May 15, 2010 - Report this comment
The puns on "staff" were pretty good here, the whole thing was sometimes poetic. I just had issue with the pacing, to be quite honest.
Mark Scotti - May 16, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks, Agr. It was one of my "Firsts"....I bet Clinton didn't say that!
Max Power - May 17, 2010 - Report this comment
He got aides!
Rex - May 17, 2010 - Report this comment
(Artistry) Ok, since no one else has thrown in this old joke.... Clinton never used bookmarks, he just bent over the pages. If you wanted to make use of the extra syllables that EJ throws into "su-uh-un", you could use "I got Lewinsky going down on me". Fave phrase is trouser teleprompter, heh heh.
Mark Scotti - May 17, 2010 - Report this comment
"Teleprompter" of thanks to Max & Rex!

(Artistry) Ooh sex and politics! My two least favourite parody topics due to consistent confuzzlement over what means what in one Elton John-shaped package! Umm...not much to say here, except that I don't mean to sound nasty with this comment.
Mark Scotti - May 23, 2010 - Report this comment
None taken, bobpie...to each his own...It happened to be the only Elton John entry I had...but it was quite the scandle here...
