I just hate these winter days of darkness,
Much prefer it when the days are long and bright.
I'm getting tired of switching on the heating,
Always cold, it's the same thing every night.

To date I've saved myself from freezing,
To cheer myself I switch on all the lights.
I watch TV but everything's despairing,
It's a bore, I'm wanting something nice and bright.
