A true story of love lost, which took place in Eastern New York around 2000 -2001.
I remember when I was young
Coffee Lattes were so much fun
Started brewing mine at home
Had an old CoffeeMate and my Grandma's home grown
But the bestest Jo I ever got
Was at this place called the Chai Latte Spot
While the other kids were drinking beer and hops
We were hopping and bopping to the Chai Latte Spot
Well Chai Lattes were something shocking
When caffein just keeps you thrilled
I never knew me a better Jo and I guess I never will
Oh Lawdy mama, those Friday nights
When Suzie ordered Lattes light
And the Chai Lattes were out of sight
Tall, Lowfat, haz'elenut

But then Starbucks came and the Latte died
Flavoring was decreased using powdered rye
Long nights shaking up my coffee machine
Licking out the leavings of my old coffee beans
