The Lyrics

October 2, 2003 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Boston Tie Party. That's what we Yankee fans call it. What Red Sox fans call it is unprintable.
He had white jerseys with Pinstripes and more.
Dressed in polyester, and he helped his team score.

Ooh, what a Bucky Man he was.
Ooh, what a Bucky Man he was.

Interlocking N-Y on a cap on his head
meant that he would beat the Sox oh-so-Red.

Ooh, what a Bucky Man he was.
Ooh, what a Bucky Man he was.

He went to Fenway
a stop to get a diamond ring.
Of his shot o'er the Green Monster
the people would sing.

Ooh, what a Bucky Man he was.
Ooh, what a Bucky Man he was.

The Bambino found him
made Mr. Dent his pride
and laid his Curse smackdown
once again, the Red Sox died.

Ooh, what a Bucky Man he was.
Ooh, what a Bucky Man he was.
NINE-teen-EIGHT-teen (clap, clap, clap-clap-clap)... NINE-teen-EIGHT-teen (clap, clap, clap-clap-clap)... NINE-teen-EIGHT-teen (clap, clap, clap-clap-clap)...

Ooh, what a sucky song this was...Kidding; just my little tribute

Yes, the Red Sox won the World Series in 1918, traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees in 1920, and have not won a World Series since - although they have had several close calls, particularly 1986. And of course, 1978, when the Yankees came back from 14 games out to tie the Red Sox for first place and win the pennant in a one-game playoff on Bucky Dent's improbable home run. Michael, I don't understand how you can identify so closely to a team owned by George Steinbrenner, but this is a clever salute to a moment of baseball trivia.
