The Lyrics

Yo, ‘ight? This be um, a ditty, OK? It’s uh, ‘bout, you know, the way peeps be talkin’ or whatever, right? So just, like, you know, read it and stuff, you know. Could maybe might, um, learn somethin’ or you know, somethin’, ‘ight? It’s ‘bout a new dance called the Elocution. And like, I know some my sentences not be complete, k? ;-)
Elocution

Everybody’s using some careless speech now
(Come on baby do the elocution)
I’m hearing silly language but I don’t mean to preach now
(Come on baby do the elocution)
A little bit of slang and you have the disease
You might as well be speaking in Japanese
So come on, come on do the elocution with me

You gotta move your lips now
Come on baby, speak up, don’t slack
Now don’t speak like you’re smoking crack

I know you can do it, just use your brain now
(Come on baby do the elocution)
No thug-a-thug-a talkin' like you’re in a gang now
(Come on baby do the elocution)
Do it nice and easy now, your speech we’ll extol
A little bit of grammar, you won’t sound like a troll
Come on, come on do the elocution with me
(Come on baby do the elocution)

Speaking like you do can be noise pollution
(Come on baby do the elocution)
Use a structured sentence is one solution
(Come on baby do the elocution)
Takes a little effort, it’s not easy to do
It even makes moms happy they delivered you
So come on, come on do the elocution with me
(Come on baby do the elocution)

So come on, come on do the elocution with me
(Come on baby do the elocution)

Amen to that, Blackjack. I know I'm getting old when I can't understand people just talking any more.

Very elo-CUTE! I like the title switch and it leaves a lot to be said, literally and I mean that in a good way. Great concept and greater execution of elocution. Fine job, Blackjack.

And I'm with you Timmy - I overhear conversations in public places and wonder in what tongue they speak. It would be easy for me if it were Japanese since I lived there for over three years.
