The Lyrics

Since Trevor Lawrence became Clemson's starting QB they have not lost. Two of their wins came in CFP games against teams I like - Notre Dame and Ohio State. This song calls for the removal of Clemson from their conference, the ACC, for being too strong. Something like this is going to happen in Division III - a Minnesota-based conference kicked St. Thomas out for winning too much, effective 2021. The song also criticizes the fact that Lawrence considers his hero to be Peyton Manning, a player I deem a coward for not wanting to join the Cleveland Browns because he would have had to play two games each year against Ben Rothlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers, which was apparently too much for Manning to bear. He also had the nerve to steal a Super Bowl title from the Browns, winning it with the Broncos instead to close his career. As of this writing, the Browns last made the playoffs in 2002, though they seem to be making progress with Baker Mayfield. On a side note, OSU has never beaten Clemson. Three of the games ended when an OSU QB threw an interception on a potential game-winning drive, including this year's Fiesta Bowl. The first of these, the 1978 Gator Bowl, resulted in Woody Hayes punching the Clemson player responsible for the pick, costing Hayes his job the next day. As punishment by the football gods, Hayes remains the last head coach at OSU to win his first bowl (the 1955 Rose Bowl) with the Buckeyes. All his successors lost their first bowl game. As another side note, the Broncos have not returned to the playoffs since Super Bowl 50. perhaps another punishment from the football gods for allowing Peyton to give them the Super Bowl title that should have been won by Cleveland.
In Death Valley, that's their home
A college football team to call their own
We say they are too good for their league
Get them gone
Don't want you in league no more

Kick them out, kick them out we say
Kick Clemson out the ACC
We just want them gone - kick them out

Running over teams every week it seems
Sir Trevor Idolizes a coward
Peyton is his name cause he would not
Join the Cleveland Browns 'cause

He would have had to play Big Ben
Twice a year, it was too much, now kick Clemson out
Make them ineligible for the
Playoff next year if they win

Kick them out, kick them out we say
Kick Clemson out the CFP
Regardless of their rank, kick them out

I understand your bitterness toward Manning. But if Manning would have join the Browns, he could have easily suffered another neck injury and retire before he won another Super Bowl. No offense, but the Browns did not have the talent he enjoyed with the Colts and Broncos. He probably would have a much better record than 0-16, but that's about it. P.S. If your willing to a Clemson ban, what about 'Bama being banished from the SEC?

The Orange Bowl 6 seasons ago occurred on the weekend of my 24th birthday, It was not one of my better birthdays, as my top NFL team, the Packers, lost to the 49ers in the NFL playoffs that weekend too. The Packers had never lost a home playoff game to an NFL team located in the Sun Belt that had an outdoor stadium before that game. I've abandoned the Browns until they actually make the playoffs. I can take solace in the fact that Colin Kaepernick, the 49ers QB for that game, is no longer playing in the NFL.

And one more thing - Peyton didn't deserve another Super Bowl win if it wasn't gonna be with the Browns. He didn't even deserve to appear on Thanksgiving with teams other than the Browns in 2013. I applaud the NFL for scheduling the Raiders instead of the Broncos to play in Dallas on Thanksgiving that year.
