The Lyrics

I'm a Mormon hear me preach,
in places others fear to reach,
and I visit everyone to spread the word.
These things really need to be said,
'cause soon everyone will be dead,
and my holy mission is to make it heard.

Oh yes, I'm a pain,
but without pain, what gain?
Oh yes, I'm a pest,
but brother I don't jest.
If I've bugged you, I've hit a nerve!
I am stubborn (stubborn)
I am persistent (persistent)
I'm a Mormon!

You can ignore, but never 'dis me,
'cause surely you'll come to see
that I'm very determined to save your soul.
And I'll come back late tomorrow,
with my heart heavy with Sorrow,
to preach at you about the final goal..

Oh yes, I'm a pain,
but without pain, what gain?
Oh yes, I'm a pest,
but brother I don't jest.
If I've bugged you, I've hit a nerve!
I am stubborn (stubborn)
I am persistent (persistent)
I'm a Mormon!

I'm a Mormon, watch me go,
see me running to and fro,
as I spread the living word across the land.
And I preach to the average Joe,
with my face all aglow!
Until I make you all understand.

Oh yes, I'm a pain,
but without pain, what gain?
Oh yes, I'm a pest,
but brother I don't jest.
If I've bugged you, I've hit a nerve!
I am stubborn (stubborn)
I am persistent (persistent)
I'm a Mormon!

To paraphrase LIttle Richard: They got an angel and they call him Moroni 'n', sometimes I think that they're a little too Draconian.

A tad off on the pacing, but not a bad parody. Good song choice! I do confess I will NOT be using this in my Gospel Essentials class. LOL! Mac - write that one soon - lol!!! Hey, John Barry - "Moroni 'n' - Draconian" - not a bad rhyme/pun!!!
