How sweet it is to read your ideas.
Just yesterday, I was remarking about how Marvin Gaye must turn over in his grave every time James Taylor's version of "How Sweet It Is" plays on the radio. You do the right thing by crediting Roy Orbison with "Blue Bayou" rather than Linda Ronstadt, who's like a quilt, she covers everything, then you ruin it by crediting "How Sweet It Is" to Big Baby James. If the song is good enough, I won't vote to ruin its perfect score unless there's a HUGE violation... but this comes close, Alvin. Too close I don't mean to have you "Running Scared," but you would've had to credit Marvin with the original for me to have a five-rating and say "You Got It."
If I'm not mistaken, Sweet Baby was in Flying Machine, which cranked out one of the worst pop tunes of all time, "Smile a Little Smile for Me, Rosemary." Anyway, nice tribute to a great voice. 555

Good job. I''m glad to see Michael's comment about the original singer of this song, Marvin Gaye. I get so dismayed whenever I hear someone onstage doing this song and saying it's a "James Taylor song". To me, that was a mere cover version. Marvin was the real deal! Of course...I am a bigger Elvis fan than Orbison fan, but Roy was great, and I hear there is going to be a commemorative postage stamp coming out on him.
