The Lyrics

A slightly dramatized telling of a time when me and a friend went to the island community of Alameda, California for a GG Allin tribute concert put on by some now ex-friends' band, involving alcohol, a sleazy motel, junk food, "Twin Peaks" reruns, vomiting, and a Chevy van (favored as cheap and reliable transportation by many a band, including our ex-friends', and our only way home since my friend and I lost our Greyhound bus tickets to take us back to our home town) To this day, I still call Alameda "Chunder Island", chunder being a slang synonym for "to vomit".

Live recording of OS (original song)

Oh, my god, oh h*ll, I am nauseous
Drank too much, and I over-ate
Can you hear me now calling for Earl*
Pukin’ on the lawn
A summer's day, barfin’ and a-nauseous
I am sick, here on Chunder Island

Drank Bud Light, ate some Stop-N-Rob nachos
Watchin' "Twin Peaks", our motel, it was raunch-o
And late that night, when our stomachs churned
And our mouths spewed bile
Projectile-puked, no help from Ipecac- ack!
Stomach flu, there on Chunder Island

Before the john
Until the bug passed
And we cleaned up all the pukey puddles
Sleazy motel, leavin’ at the noontime, sweet noontime
So, now we’re gone, we’re goin’ home now
On the road, in a Chevy van
Now, my gut’s OK, it’s A-OK
And I’m totally sober
I'll remember that GG tribute concert*
And gettin’ sick, there on Chunder Island

*Calling for Earl: A euphemism for vomiting, originated by the supposed similarities to the sound of vomiting and the sound of the name "Earl".

*GG tribute concert: My ex-friends' GG Allin tribute group's concert, during which the incidents that this parody details took place. I can't give out the band's name since it is not suitable for a "family-friendly" website.

I also had those moments. When I got sick and nauseous, I tried calling for Earl, but instead I ended up calling for Ralph on the big white phone instead! I also remember "Twin Peaks" back then because I had a crush on Kyle MacLachlan. To quote Agent Dale Cooper (MacLachlan): "Damn Fine Coffee!" along with cherry pie! The last time I hurled is when I went to see "Avatar 3D" with my friend and I had to run to the ladies room a few times. I felt horrible. Anyways, hurling you 5's for this one!

Thanks, Christie. I admit I thought Kyle MacLachlan was cute too, but my current celebrity crush is Steve-O from "Jackass". I have also heard of people vomiting due to "Avatar 3D", as well as my avatar on one forum I participate in.

The last movie that made me nauseous was "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" - turned it off after a half hour. Isn't chunder an Australian word for vomit?

Very descriptive...A little TMI for me, but I know that happens

Thanks OMR... I think it was Washington or Idaho, thanks 2Eagle, that movie was sickening as well, and yes, "chunder" is Australian English slang for "to vomit", and thanks AFW.
