The Lyrics

Living on garbage,
Watching the carnage,
Of all the bums that are fighting for food.
Looking for clothing,
Rich people loathing,
Sound of old guys turning their mood.

Wasting away again on Dublin Avenue,
Searching for my lost life and career.
Some people say that there is a Clinton to blame,
But I know, its all "Dubyah's" fault.

Oh, I know the reason,
Out here all season,
It's -40 and I've got the flu.
But, I've got no feeling,
All my skins' peeling,
And my face is about to go blue.

Wasting away again on Dublin Avenue,
Searching for my lost life and career.
Some people say that there is a Clinton to blame,
But I think, its all Reagan's fault.

I blew out the fire,
Stepped on McGuire,
Because the government gave some cash.
And, I've got an old condo,
I moved in pronto,
All you bums stay out of my trash.

Wasting away again on Dublin Avenue,
Searching for my lost life and career.
Some people say that there is a Clinton to blame,
But I know, its my own d*mn fault.

Oh yeah, Some people say that there is a Clinton to blame,
But I know, its my own d*mn fault.

Fairly good, but I would have liked it better if "career" and "fault" rhymed. Where are Dublin Avenue and McGuire?

I concur with John Jenkin's comments on this one. Since it is the chorus, and the lines rhyme in the original, you really needed those lines to rhyme. And it would help if the geographic references were more universally recognizable - but that's not too big a deal. Still, it's funny and fun - I loved the "all you bums stay outta my trash" line!

Well, thanks for the comments. Dublin avenue is a street in Ireland. While, so is McGuire avenue. When I was in Ireland they were beautiful places, but had lots of bums. I missed the rhyming part, my bad. :)
