Pacing was kinda off, esp. in the chorus ("I love a boil" is only four syllables as opposed to "I love rock and roll" which has five; I dunno how we're supposed to sing that); also it was from the 80s. I haven't decided whether to vote 3 or 4 for pacing.

Hey Who cares, I think "boil" is actually two syllables. (Boy-el) I always try to dash my words in my songs when I employ something like this. I guess it's all in the interpretation. It paced just fine to me.

Anyway nice song JD. You did typo your first name so this one won't get into your stats.

If it were two, how would the dictionary divide it: boi-l? I don't think so. A syllable cannot be without a vowel. Anyway, it's definitely one syllable. :)

Hey Who cares, you are probably right. I've been in Texas too long where boil is always pronounced like 'Boy-el'. Again, it's how the reader perceives the pace rhythm and pronounciation. Wonder where this Johny D is from?

One-N Johny---Pacing is so critical on this one. Everybody else is correct about this "boy-el" issue--it just don't work. . Listen to the song, clap along with your "rhythm" to the original and maybe you'll see what I mean. And I love surreal lyrics too, but geez, make it rhyme at least. :)
