In spite of some weird voting on my last three Sonic parodies, I AM NOT GIVING UP ON "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG MONTH". Though I wonder: how does a parody earn 5s in the "pacing" and "how funny" categories and a 1 in the "overall" category? No seriously, I wanna know. That aside, I wanted to talk about today's parody: in spite of more recent Sonic games not always getting good critical reception and a fanbase that can't seem to decide what they want from the Blue Blur, I'd say life's been good for that hedgehog. Enjoy the parody!
The world’s his mansion, speed is his vice,
He’s really cocky, but he’s so nice,
He goes to theme parks, jumps on robots,
He don’t give state police a second thought.
Some think he’s crazy, but he has a good time.
He stops Doctor Robotnik from doing crimes.
Life’s been good to him so far.
His blue Camaro has got a four-speed,[1]
He don’t need vehicles, but he’ll accede,
When there’s a road race, he takes the gold,
He’ll kiss Shadow if he’s feeling bold.[2]
He did a movie, didn’t look great,
His fans wrote letters; they were irate,
So his looks were all redone, he took home lots of dough,
They had Jim Carrey playin’ his foe.[3]
Lucky he’s sane after what he’s been through,
(Everybody say “06”!)
(Sucked eggs!)[4]
Some fans complain when his arms become blue,[5]

1-Sonic doesn't actually own a Camaro in any canon, but that's the kind of car I associate with him.
2-Thus far, Sonic hasn't shown any gay tendencies in any game I'm aware of; I'm just making a reference to the fan pairing commonly called "Sonadow" (Sonic and Shadow the Hedgehog).
3-These verses refer to the Sonic movie: how the original design for Sonic was heavily criticized and redone at the behest of fans, how it made a killing at the box office and how Jim Carrey played Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, the main villain of the franchise.
4-Refers to the 2006 Xbox 360/PS4 game simply titled "Sonic the Hedgehog" - commonly referred to as "Sonic '06 to avoid confusion with the first game. It was notorious for poor critical reception, although I liked the non-Robotnik villain from that game.
5-In the "Sonic Boom" TV series and related media, Sonic's arms are colored blue instead of peach.
6-From "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" onwards, Sonic and his best friend Miles "Tails" Prower sometimes fly a biplane called the Tornado.
7-Amy Rose is a pink hedgehog who has a major unrequited crush on Sonic.
8-The Japanese box art for the first two games had this cryptic little message: "Don't just sit there and waste your precious time. When you want to do something, do it right away. Do it when you can. It's the only way to live a life without regrets."
